Classes in Lords of the Fallen (LotF) are the combination of combat archetypes and Magic Types available at Character Creation. Choosing a class determines the character's base Stats and the Equipment they start with. Hexwork has stated that there will be 10 different Classes to pick from. This page covers each class, their attribute point allocation, and equipment.
What is the best Class in Lords of the Fallen?
There is no such thing as best class in Lords of the Fallen. Players can experience the Realms of Axiom and Umbral with any of the 10 available Classes. All of them are viable to reach the end of the game. They provide a different starting point at the beginning of the game, but then it is up to players which direction they will build upon as they traverse through the Realms.
A staple for Souls like games, the Condemned represents the ultimate challenge from the beginning, as it is the class with the lowest overall points in total.
Are there hidden or unlockable Classes in Lords of the Fallen?
Besides the 9 staring Classes (10 if you pre-ordered the game) available in Lords of the Fallen, there are 4 unlockable ones which are:
These are not available at the start of the game, and have to be unlocked in order to be selected. You cannot change your class with respec, so you can only use the new classes with a new character. Their equipment, however, can be found within the game.
Lords of the Fallen Classes Guide
What's the best starting class in Lords of the Fallen?
If Lords of the Fallen is your first souls-like game, deciding your class is a vital decision. For those players who are first experiencing the game, it is important to learn that, even though you cannot change class later on, you can decide to focus on different Stats builds as you level up. Aspects like playstyle, experience in third person RPG games, and even tolerance to frustration should be considered when selecting a class.
The Hallowed Knight or Orian Preacher are good starting classes, given the typical sword and shield equipment and the best stats of all 9 base classes in Endurance, making of them ideal classes for starting players. Orian Preacher diverging from the classic warrior, has a great ranged spell and its hammer scales with Radiance which has great synergy.

Builds for Lords of the Fallen
Builds for Lords of the Fallen (LotF) focuses on various combinations of Equipment, such as Weapons and Armor, Accessories, Magic, and Stats that players can find extremely useful for successfully achieving their goals during their playthrough. Below you can find a variety of builds that we recommend players try and use. If you want to add your builds, please click here to find builds created and shared by the community.
What is min maxing?
Min-maxing is a very common practice in RPGS that allows players to maximize the stats of a character that will contribute most to what your character needs, while minimizing the stats that don't contribute to that particular build.
In Lords of the Fallen, for example, the Hallowed Knight can be seen as the best class to start if you want to min-max the build of a Strength-oriented tank. Given that it has high stats in the required Stats, while having the minimum in those that are not relevant for that kind of build. On the other hand, it may not be ideal to be selected if you want to build a Spellcaster class, given the high amount of Stats not relevant to that playstyle.

putrid child has to be the worst staring class of all. the spells it starts with are dog ass. id rather be forced to use a bow with no extra equipment than use the **** putrid child starts with. the weapon is the best part but isnt worth using still when any other weapon does more dps. it is a good weapon dont get me wrong but at low stats its not a good starting weapon. not A tier. is F tier.
- Anonymous
partisan A tire, and infantry B tier? my man, my dude, these two classes virtually have identical starting stats (if you ask me dunno why they even bothered to give us a coca cola and pepsi version for quality builds)
- Anonymous
My brother in christ, why someone would ask for a tier list in a souls game?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Condemned C Tier? lmao
Yeah I get it, having a starting class which can branch out in every direction, from which you can build everything as you see fit is terrible :D
Lord have mercy...
- Anonymous
That tier list is dead wrong. Condemned is a SSS++ (SSS+ at worst) class, because bucket.
- Anonymous
Has anyone tested if co-op partners can get the unlockable classes on someone else's save when they finish the story?
- Anonymous
You guys have TIERED the classes? Are you kidding me. Holy **** that's dense
- Anonymous
someone cant count here, hollowed knights has 63 not 68 points
- Anonymous
Corrected typo
Changed "Exiled Staler" to "Exiled Stalker" on the tier list section.
However, I still highly recommend removing the tier list section entirely.
A tier list at this time is incredibly premature and the notion of a tierlist that doesn't specify in which way it is ranking these classes is incredibly unhelpful.
What does this tierlist measure? The early game? The entire PvE experience? PvP? Speedrunning? Completionist runs? Single player? co-op?
It comes across as someone's very subjective options being passed on as factual information.

Isn’t hallowed knight starting lvl 10 ? If we add the stats it’s at +9 points compared to condemned. Lvl 15 means you litterally lose 5 stats points ?

These classes are so stupid ahahah
Zero elemental differences on most of them for any hybrid build, most of them are just a variation of quality, and there's no reason to pick Preacher or Cultist to make Radiance or Inferno builds no matter what physical stats you invest on. REALLY LAZY
Assuming Condemned is Lv 1 and adding all stats together this should be the starting levels of each class.
Hallowed Knight: Lv 15
Udirangr Warwolf: Lv 12
Partisan: Lv 12
Mournstead Infantry: Lv 12
Blackfeather Ranger: Lv 8
Exiled Stalker: Lv 10
Orian Preacher: Lv 11
Pyric Cultist: Lv 10
Condemned: Lv 1

So yeah not 100% confirmed yet since it's from an earlier build then release build. But stats should be something similar on release, no stat info on dark crusader.
Hallowed Knight - STR 12 AGI 10 END 14 VIT 15 RAD 9 INF 8
Udirangr Warwolf - STR 16 AGI 10 END 13 VIT 10 RAD 8 INF 8
Partisan - STR 13 AGI 12 END 12 VIT 12 RAD 8 INF 8
Mournstead Infantry - STR 12 AGI 14 END 12 VIT 11 RAD 8 INF 8
Blackfeather Ranger - STR 11 AGI 13 END 11 VIT 10 RAD 8 INF 8
Exiled Stalker - STR 9 AGI 16 END 11 VIT 11 RAD 8 INF 8
Orian Preacher - STR 10 AGI 8 END 9 VIT 11 RAD 18 INF 8
Pyric Cultist - STR 9 AGI 8 END 11 VIT 9 RAD 8 INF 18
Condemnd - STR 9 AGI 9 END 9 VIT 9 RAD 9 INF 9

Well a short summary.
Blackfeather Ranger - An agility stat focused archer that uses axe and a shield in melee.
Condemned - The forsaken class that starts with the lowest stats/lvls but almost no gear but can become anything.
Dark Crusader - Deluxe edition eclusive class to start with can be unlocked in game but unclear if this means it will be unlocked as a starting class or if you can just get it's stuff in game to play as a Dark Crusader - It's a strength and endurance stat focused two handed sword melee fighter / caster with heavy armor it is seemingly the paladin class but with a dark twist.
Exiled Stalker - Focused in agility + endurance it's a dagger wielding class that excels in short range with quick attacks and lengthy combos.
Hallowed Knight - Vitality and endurance focused the Hallowed Knight is the standard knight class that is a bit of a jack-of-all trade wielding fast attacks with it's long sword but being tanky with it's heavy armor and shield + grenades for ranged attacks.
Mournstead Infantry - Has stats focused in agility and seemingly strength + endurance wearing heavy armor, light shield, spear and javelins it is capable to attack in melee and range the class typical soldier class.
Orian Preacher - Stat focused in radiance it is the typical priest class starts of with light armor, hammer, a shield and the ability to heal it can then branch of into becoming a full time caster, a paladin or a more melee combat focused class that uses radiance spells for buffing/support.
Partisan - Focused around agility and endurance stat the Partisan is somewhat of a knight class that wields lighter armor then the Hallowed knight but also a crossbow for ranged attacks.
Pyric Cultist - With a stat focus on infernal the class is the typical pyromancer class able to toss fireballs at will and wielding a staff to fight in melee the class can then branch from being a spellcaster into a wieldier of rhogar type weapons which are heavy type weapons by focusing on the strength stat.
Udirangr Warwolf - With a focus on the strength stat this is the typical barbarian / melee glass cannon with a focus on hitting hard wielding a great sword for melee and throwing axes for ranged attacks.

classes and stats are now known. Could you please update the page?

all the talk about class tiers is very strange outside wanting VERY specific gear. which of course i understand. but for the post part im glad i usually always pick "Wretch" style classes first in Souls games. in this game it especially allows you to build any way you want with no "wasted" levels at all AND the bucket seemed like a really strong starter weapon.
honestly i dont think new players should sweat class choice much outside of "do i want to start with magic or not"
