Weight is a Stat in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Weight displays the total weight value a player can carry. Players can increase Stats by spending points on them as they level up.

Weight Information in Lords of the Fallen

  • Weight is one of the four secondary stats, alongside Health, Mana, and Stamina.
  • Weight determines the amount of total weight value a player can carry.
  • Players can increase their total Weight capacity, by spending points on Endurance or Vitality when leveling up.
  • The total weight a player is carrying, can be determined by adding the weight of all the pieces of equipment currently equipped. This means Weapons, Armor, Shields, and Ammo
  • Carrying too much weight may limit certain kind of actions, making movement slower than usual and less effective. On the other hand, traveling light, may improve the effectiveness of the dodge mechanic, allowing it to move farther away.

I did some testing of stamina recovery speed and roll distance with light vs medium encumbrance and had the following results:
Stamina recovery speed w/ light encumbrance recovered fully from empty in 3.05 seconds while medium encumbrance regained on 3.18
Roll distance: measured with starting point and end point (a vestige and a distinctive rock pattern) upon same starting point, both encumbrance levels ended at the exact same point.
As such, there seems to be no discernible difference between light vs medium encumbrance in these areas. I did not test I-frames though so hard to say if that is the only difference or not

This might something "everyone knows" but I couldn't find it anywhere in my searching. Light encumbrance = less than half of your weight, medium is anything over half but under weight. Heavy is anything above weight.

So, once you have the gear that you want, note how much it weights in total. Mine, for example was 87.6. Then I respec and can pump my END/VIT up until the weight is 88. Now I will be just barely under weight and therefor at medium. Obviously, you want to fit this to your playstyle, if you're not good at dodge/parry you may want more VIT and if you are swinging a big heavy weapon you want more END. But I'm a caster and I don't care, so I went END 10 and VIT 30 (OCD, I like rounded numbers) for an 89 weight .

Roll distance, walk speed, and stamina regen all seem to be the same at medium or light weight, or so close as to not matter. Can anyone test if light weight gives you extra iframes? Otherwise there’s basically no benefit to light weight other than the extra damage from the Princess’ Sting pendant.

+1 for each level up of Endurance or Vitality until 101 weight, then +0 for one level, then +1 each level again (until about 106), then +1 each 2 levels until 110. Seams to be +1 for each 3 levels after that.
