Umbral Flowerbed mark locations where players can create temporary
Vestiges by raising a Vestige Seedling.

Umbral Flowerbed are points of interest in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). These special locations mark the places where players can create temporary vestiges by using a Vestige Seed. The Umbral Flowerbed will allow the growth of a Vestige Seedling that will act as an anchor between realms. These special locations allow players a moment of respite between the lurking Enemies and looming challenges. Do note that resting at a Vestige respawns all normal-type Enemies.
How to Use The Umbral Flowerbed in Lords of the Fallen
The Umbral Flowerbed serves as markers in both the Axiom Realm (Land of the Living) and the Umbral Realm (Land of the Dead). These markers are identified by a plot of soil wherein white lily-like flowers are grown.
The Umbral Lamp vibrates and emits a special color when close to an Umbral Flowerbed. When on top of an Umbral Flowerbed, select your Umbral Lamp by pressing down on the d-pad, raise it with L2/LT, and hold Δ/Y to raise a Vestige Seedling. A Vestige Seedling serves as a temporary Vestige should you die in the Umbral Realm. Additionally, a Vestige Seedling can be planted in both Axiom and Umbral Realms. They provide the exact same effects that a Vestige can provide to players.
How to Locate an Umbral Flowerbed in LotF
An Umbral Flowerbed can be identified by a plot of soil wherein white flowers are growing in the center. You would usually find an Umbral Flowerbed in Locations after a boss fight or in areas with a puzzle or difficult Enemies. An Umbral Flowerbed typically marks an event for players wherein the Umbral Lamp will glow brighter and produce a vibrating sound as you approach an Umbral Flowerbed. This notifies the players of the special location.
An Umbral Flowerbed can be located and activated in either realms (Axiom or Umbral). While in Axiom, players need to take out their lamp to grow a Vestige Seed, while in the Umbral Realm, players don't need to take out their lamps to do so.
Vestige Seedling Options in Lords of the Fallen
When interacting with a Vestige Seedling raised in an Umbral Flowerbed, you may select the following menu options:
- Rest: Resting at a Vestige will completely restore the player's Health and Mana.
- Warp to Vestige: Allows players to teleport to another Vestige. It has to be previously activated.
- Upgrade Character: Spend Vigor to upgrade your character Stats
- Multiplayer: Allows players to summon a second player into their game.
How Do Vestige Seedlings Work in Lords of the Fallen
A Vestige Seedling act as a temporary vestige while providing the same effects as a regular Vestige. Players also get the following effects when interacting with a Vestige Seedling:
- Resting recovers the player's health and mana
- Refills the number of uses for the Sanguinarix
- Regular Enemies respawn upon using a vestige
- Vestige Seedling cannot be used if enemies are near or if you are in combat
- Warps the player back to the Axiom Realm if a temporary Vestige is used while in the Umbral Realm (same as a regular Vestige)
- Using a Vestige Seedling revives your co-op partner.
Vestige Seedling in Lords of the Fallen
A Vestige Seedling is raised by growing a Vestige Seed on top of an Umbral Flowerbed. Only one Vestige Seedling can be raised at any given time.
A figure grown from a Vestige Seed. Can be warped to and used as a temporary vestige.
As is the case with the seeds which they grow, little is known of Vestige Seedlings for their practical functions, even if they are but a pale, fleeting imitation of a true vestige."

Abandoned Redcopse
Umbral Flowerbed inside the Cave
- Sub-Location: Chapel-like inside the cave
- Main Location: Abandoned Redcopse
This is the first Umbral Flowerbed shown in the game. The Iron Wayfarer is also seen on the doorway wherein he gives you a 1x Vestige Seed and guides you how to use it. In this same area, he also tells you about the importance of temporary Vestiges or also known as a Vestige Seedling. This is also the area for the tutorial of how Temporary Vestiges work in game.
After your encounter with The Iron Wayfarer, he tells you that he has helped you more than enough and tells you to stay out of his way.
Skyrest Bridge
This Umbral Flowerbed grows after defeating Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal. You can find this area towards the end of exploring Abandoned Redcopse. You will find the tall gate that will welcome you into Skyrest Bridge wherein Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal is waiting.
If you look around in the arena, you will find dropped swords on the ground while a blood-soaked Pieta prays to her god Orius. She will take up her sword to fight you after recognizing the Umbral Lamp that you carry. After defeating her, the Umbral Flowerbed will be revealed at the center of the arena and players will have an option to grow a Vestige Seed in its place.
Skyrest Bridge - Crimson Rector Percival Arena

Heading from Forsaken Fen, you will end up back at the Skyrest Bridge scaffolding. There is a shortcut lift to take up to reach the upper level of the Skyrest Bridge scaffolding. Defeat the Crimson Rector Percival to access this Umbral Flowerbed.
Skyrest Bridge - Tower

Pilgrim's Perch
You can find this Umbral Flowerbed after revealing a tunnel along the platforms of Pilgrim's Perch where pilgrims and an Ardent Penitent is guarding. You need to defeat all enemies on the platform first and then interact with the Umbral Tumor to reveal the tunnel behind it. This will give you a new area to explore and the Umbral Flowerbed is found just after using the ladder at the end.
This Umbral Flowerbed can be located on the scaffoldings of Pilgrim's Perch. This location is found after getting off a tall ladder, next to a hut and stack of boxes.
Pilgrim's Perch - Descent

This Umbral Flowerbed is revealed after defeating Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds. To go here, take the elevator in front of the Vestige of Blind Agatha, and walk to the end of the main path. Use the ladder and take the elevator once again to reach the lower levels of Pilgrim's Perch.
You will first come across Damarose the Marked and after that, you will find yourself in the arena of Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds, where she is seen standing alone in the middle.
Pilgrim's Perch - Caves

From the Vestige of Blind Agatha, go through the now-opened double metal doors. Head down to the wooden platforms, and carefully make your way through the wooden beams. Go towards the right to fight an enemy. Defeat it, push open the gates and take the right path to find yourself at the scaffolding. Make a left turn, and warp into the Umbral Realm to reveal a bridge. Cross it and enter back into the tunnels to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Forsaken Fen
This Umbral Flowerbed can be found when exiting the cave with the Vestige of Olleren. Head down the path to find wooden platforms to walk across, the middle platform gives way so you will fall into an Arena to defeat the The Congregator of Flesh. Defeat it to gain access to this Umbral Flowerbed.
From the Vestige of Valade, go through the tunnel next to it leading to wooden platforms, warp into the Umbral Realm, and take the ladder up on the left. Head up and follow the path up. There will be an area where players can continue to go down, or go to high ground by the cliffs, and continue down the path. You will find a Stigma and an Umbral flowerbed as well.
This Umbral Flowerbed can be found by the Forsaken Fen swamp near the Petrified Woman. From the Vestige of Valade, exit to the Swamp, go through the structures and there's a cave covered with branches. Break through them and speak to to the petrified Woman. The Umbral Flowerbed can be accessible after.
This Umbral Flowerbed can be found in one of the broken-down huts above the swamp in Forsaken Fen. You can get here by following the path down from the previous Umbral Flowerbed or exiting to the swamp from the Vestige of Valade, explore the shacks on the wooden platforms.
From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, follow the wooden path to an area decorated with bones on sticks and on the ground. At the end of this path there is an entryway through a narrow space to go through that leads to a walkway at the side of the swamp with a large structure in the middle. Along this walkway is a Umbral Flowerbed.
From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head to the burning structure in the middle, and go through the a decorated archway with the circle structure above it. The path will lead to a boss arena but before that, on the right will be an Umbral Flowerbed.
From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, simply head into the arena and defeat the boss. There will be a Stigma and an Umbral Flowerbed for you to Soulflay.

This Umbral Flowerbed can be found when exiting Forsaken Fen through the cliffsides, on the way to the lower back of the Skyrest Bridge.
Fitzroy's Gorge - Cave

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, take the path on the left. Head to the end where you see a cave entrance, and use the Umbral Lamp to go through the 2 gates. Continue along until you meet the NPC Drustan. Below him, you will find the Umbral Flowerbed.
Fitzroy's Gorge - Bridge

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head down the ladder and continue downwards. You will end up outside and will see a bridge. You will need to defeat the Ruiner. Once completed, the Umbral Flowerbed will be accessible.
Fitzroy's Gorge - Graveyard

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, go across the bridge and follow the path up to the wooden barrels and carts, destroy them, and warp into the Umbral Realm to get across to the tower. Go to the tower and take the stairs down and out to the field. Follow the path down and head into the graveyard to find this Umbral Flowerbed.
Lower Calrath
Lower Calrath - Internal Enchantress Arena

From the Vestige of Sebastian, continue through the building and make your way out to the back streets. Head to the end of the street to find a tall wooden structure that's on fire and the Boss Infernal Enchantress. Defeat her to access the Umbral Flowerbed.
Lower Calrath - Stairway

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, take the stairs up on the left of the burning structure and continue the path upwards. Eventually, you will reach an area decorated with body parts. The Umbral Flowerbed can be seen on the set of stairs going down.
Lower Calrath - Village
- Sub-Location: Village Square

From the Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch, head down the stairs and out the hole on the side that you can drop down from and get onto the path straight until a village square with all the enemies. Clear the enemies and look for a path that goes up to a set of stairs with a black marking on the wall, the Umbral Flowerbed can be seen below the markings.
Lower Calrath - Secret Wall

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, break the wooden obstructions next to it and continue along the path above the rooftops. Take the ladder down and before reaching the burning structure, take the stairs up on the right. Warp to the Umbral Realm to reveal the ladder and go up. Continue through the route through the houses and take the stairs down to the burning structure. Warp to the Umbral Realm to reveal a secret wall on the left, an Umbral Flowerbed can be seen inside.
Sunless Skein
Sunless Skein - Tunnels
- Main Location: Sunless skein
From the Vestige of Hooded Antuli, follow the tracks until the end then head up the stairs to the left. Continue along the tunnels and use your Umbral Lamp to go through the gates along the way until you drop through a wooden floor and reach the bottom. Leave the area then warp into the Umbral Realm to reveal a path. Take the stairs up and carefully cross the wooden beams, follow the path to reach the area next to the Vestige. Pull the lever to open the gate that was originally locked.
Go through the gates, and follow the tracks and go to the path on the right to find another set of gates, use your Umbral Lamp to go through the gates. The Umbral Flowerbed can be seen there.
Sunless Skein - Wooden Lifts

From the Vestige of Catrin, you are required to have the gate in front of the Vestige unlocked to go through. Go through it, and take the lift down then take the stairs down on the left. Warp into the Umbral Realm and Soulflay the structure to create a bridge below. Drop down from platform to platform and make your way onto the wooden bridge. Walk across and take the first ladder up then continue up the stairs. Go to the left towards the wooden structures and you will see an Umbral Flowerbed.
Sunless Skein - Cave

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head back down to the bridge and walk across to the other end past the structures. At the end, take the ladder down and continue downwards until you see a ledge and another bridge, on the right of the bridge is a tunnel. Go through the tunnel, clear out the enemies and continue your path. You will have to hop off a ledge to reach the cliff, walk further in to see the Umbral Flowerbed.
Sunless Skein - Mine Entrance

From the Vestige of Hooded Antuli, unlock the door at the end of the tracks with the Sunless Skein Key to find an Umbral Flowerbed outside.
Sunless Skein - Under the Bridge
- Main Location: Sunless Skein
From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head down the structure and follow the path tracks to the path on the left and on the right, there are structures blocking a narrow alley. Break the wooden objects and walk through to see an Umbral Flowerbed.
Cistern
Cistern - Maze Tunnels
- Main Location: Cistern
From the Vestige of Catrin, follow the tracks to the path on the left and continue onwards to reach a large area with hanging cages. Continue downwards towards the left, and go into what looks like a cave. Go through the cave and look for the exit where you will need to jump down off of the ledge. go through the doorway in front of you and head up the stairs to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Upper Calrath
Upper Calrath - Street

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, go up the path with the wooden floor planks and me your way up the stairs. Continue all the way up the tower to reach a street with houses on fire. At the left end of the street there is an Umbral Flowerbed.
Upper Caldrath - Spurned Progeny Arena Entrance

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, simply head straight past the enemy with the fire attacks. After the entrance of the tower the Umbral Flowerbed can be seen there.
Upper Calrath - Spurned Progeny Arena
- Sub-Location: Spurned Progeny Arena

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head into the arena and defeat the Boss Spurned Progeny. Defeating it will give you access to the boss Stigma and an Umbral Flowerbed.
Upper Calrath - Garden Deck

From the Vestige of Doln, go through the doorway next to it and follow the path. When you reach the garden deck area, go to the very end and go down the stairs to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Upper Calrath - Broken Building

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, continue the path through the ruins. Head down to where you can see a tree and go up the stairs. Continue upwards until you reach a dead end with a building with a broken wall to hop into. An Umbral Flowerbed can be seen there
Upper Calrath - Basement

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head down the stairs of the building and make your way to the lower floor before reaching the wooden platforms.
Upper Calrath - Decent
- Main Location: Upper Calrath
From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, simply continue taking the stairs down and you will see this Umbral Flowerbed in the corner before the lowest floor.
Upper Calrath - Stairway

This Umbral Flowerbed is only accessible when entering Upper Calrath from Cistern.
From the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian, head out the door and follow the path on the right. Warp into the Umbral Realm to reveal a ladder on the first building on the right. Go up and Soulflay the structure to unlock the double doors at the end of the path. Go through to find yourself in a large arena. Clear the enemies and go through the doorway on the other side. Take the stairs up to find some Stigmas, take the path on the right, to find a Stigma and an Umbral Flowerbed.
Upper Calrath - Alley

This Umbral Flowerbed is only accessible when entering Upper Calrath from Cistern
From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head down the stairs and go to the path on the left through the back street and alleys and near the exit is an Umbral Flowerbed.

From the Vestige of Svornil, go through the gates and head down the path until you reach a wooden ledge which you can jump down from. Warp into the Umbral Realm and head up the path on the right. Continue to the end of the path to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Fief of the Chill Curse - Ruins

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, continue along the path up into the ice caves. Warp into the Umbral Realm to reveal structures to get across the blockage. Go through the cave and continue the path on the right. Use your Umbral Lamp to get through the gates to see the NPC Dustran. At the opposite side of the gates are stairs going down, head there and continue on downwards through the ruins to find an Umbral Flowerbed.

Manse of the Hallowed Brothers - Tower

From the Vestige of Ferrers the Charred, head to the path on the left (the Vestige's right). Warp into the Umbral Realm to reveal platforms that connect with the wooden ledges, and continue the straight path. When you need to drop down, open the gates on the right, and head to the path on the left. Take the stairs on the left, follow the path up and go through the stairs on the right.
Head inside the building and go straight through, go to the right, and make another right. Go towards the end to find spiral stairs on the left and go up to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Manse of the Hallowed Brothers - Secret Room

From the Vestige of Brother Jeremiah, head outside and make your way across into the kitchen where you will find a set of stairs. Take the stairs up on the ledge, warp into the Umbral Realm and Soulflay the platform to drop it so you can hop onto it. Break the wooden objects and go through the doorway and make the right turn. Soulflay the structure to get across and climb the ladder up to reach the rooftops. Get across to the other side to find an entrance on the right. Go through it and drop down to the double archway. Go through it and take the stairs up and another set of stairs on the right. Break through the structures and take another set of stairs to find that its a dead end. Use your Umbral Lamp to reveal a secret room. Head in to find a Stigma and an Umbral Flowerbed.
Manse of the Hallowed Brothers - Narrow Hall

From the Vestige of Brother Jeremiah, head outside and head up the path on the right. Take the stairs up to reach the walkway full of enemies. Clear the enemies while you make your way to the end. Once you reach the fountain, break the wooden structures by the doorway across it and continue onwards. Enter the next doorway and exit out the next gate. Go towards the right side of the courtyard and make your way up the stairs, make a left turn into a short hallway and you will see an Umbral Flowerbed there.
Manse of the Hallowed Brothers - Courtyard

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head outside back to the courtyard and go through the walkway in the middle and head through the door. You will reach an altar so go around and head through the next door and turn right to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Tower of Penance

From the Vestige of Rosamund in Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters, head down the stairs to the statue and exit through the main gate. Follow the path down to reach another doorway and continue straight down the path under the bridge. Exit the gates to arrive at the Tower of Penance.
From the bridge, after beating the Boss Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho, an Umbral Flowerbed will be accessible for you.

Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters - Tree Garden
- Main Location: Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters
From the Vestige of Rosamund, head into the doorway across from the Vestige and head up the stairs. Warp into the Umbral Realm and Soulflay the marked body to open up the path. Continue along the path but be careful with the enemies and the red spots on the wall that explode when you get too close. Get across, go straight and head up the stairs, continue up the stairs carefully as there are stronger enemies in this area. After the set of stairs, there's a narrow corridor on the left, head through there to find yourself in an area with a single tree. Soulflay the Stigma, and head to the walkway to find a staircase on the upper left from the tree. Go up to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters - Courtyard

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head outside and take the stairs all the way up until you reach a staircase that's blocked. Use your Umbral Lamp to reveal a path to the other side and continue up the stairs to reach an altar. Head to the right courtyard, and head up the stairs pass the blood fountain, and head down the long corridor, then continue on the right to find the Umbral Flowerbed.
The Empyrean
the Empyrean - Library

From the Vestige of Ioelo the Cursed Knight, head out the double doors and up the stairs near the large gates. Right before the large gates, turn to the left to see a broken tower. Take the stairs up and warp into the Umbral Realm to reveal the rest of the broken tower, walk across it to enter what looks like a library. There's a Stigma here for you to Soulflay and an Umbral Flowerbed behind the table.
The Empyrean - Church

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head out the hole in the wall and Soulflay the structure to create a ledge to hop across to. Soulflay the structure next to the ladder to create half of the bridge, climb up the ladder, step onto the bridge and Soulflay the other structure to unblock the doorway in the library. Use your Umbral Lamp to go through the gates and clear the area of enemies for easier exploration. Go to the end of the right corridor to retrieve the Church Key. Head back down to the main double doors and use the key to enter the Church.
Lords of the Fallen Bramis Castle ~ Mother's Lull Umbral Flowerbeds

Bramis Castle
Bramis Castle - Lower Floor

After unlocking the gates to Bramis Castle, head in and follow the path up on the left. When you reach a room with broken floors, warp into the Umbral Realm and Soulflay a structure to bring out a ledge. Drom down to Soulflay another structure to create a bridge and open the gates. Return to this room and hop across using the structures. On the right is a doorway, go through it and you will find an Umbral Flowerbed on the right.
Bramis Castle - Staircase

From the vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim, head up the stairs and another set of theirs to the left. Follow the path upwards to find 2 doorways with 2 different sets of stairs. Take the left staircase up to find an Umbral Flowerbed
Bramis Castle - Main Hall

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, continue the path up the stairs and into a room with several enemies. Defeat the enemies and head to the doorway on the left and follow the path and head to the corner entryway that has wooden planks blocking it. Break them and enter the room to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Bramis Castle - Lower Tunnels

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, go down the stairs and carefully make your way to the room on the right side next to the stairs. Make your way down to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Bramis Castle - Upper Floor
- Main Location: Bramis Castle
From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, head back and pass the door to the room with the spiral stairs and head straight up from the stairs there. Head up all the way, then turn right and you will see an Umbral Flowerbed.
Bramis Castle - Library
- Main Location: Bramis Castle
From the previous Umbral Flowerbeds, head down the stairs, take the spiral stairs up and use the Royal Key to unlock the door. Follow the path on the left to a library. Take the stairs up and continue the path until you reach the wooden stairs that lead outside. Head down to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
Bramis Castle - Crystal Ruins

From the previous Umbral Flowerbed, continue down the path, and drop down from the ledge and continue onwards. Break through the wooden objects to go through the doorway. You will reach a bedroom, warp into the Umbral Realm and head to the balcony to Soulflay a structure to create a platform. Head down the structure to a large crystal. Head down and follow the path. When you reach a fork in the road, take the path on the left. On the far end, there's stairs going down. Head down to find an Umbral Flowerbed.
