The Best Tips for The Congregator of Flesh:
- Recommended Spells: Inferno Spells
- Recommended Items: Raw Mangler Axe, Fire Salts, Any Fire Weapons
The Congregator of Flesh begins the fight with a scream that knocks players back. Its slow movements and attacks will rely on its main arm. It will use its left arm to drag itself across the boss area and swipe at players once it gets within proximity. Its attacks can also inflict poison. The Congregator of Flesh also has an Umbral Parasite that shields him which his only revealed with the lamp. Successfully removing it with the lamp will impact its damage intake.
These attacks can take up a lot of space in the already limited combat area along with the mass of the large boss, but the Congregator of Flesh will usually pull its arm briefly before swiping in or out with its arms. You have a brief period to run out of the affected area. Watch for its hand movement to determine what type of attack will follow through and what direction it's going. Other attacks that don't rely on its limbs include its body slam where it will throw its entire body on the ground, which will crush anything in its path. Look out for when it is perched on two limbs. Begin to back away since it is preparing for a small jump.
As you maneuver through these attacks, stay close to its main leg, which is where you can focus most of your attacks. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to get stuck behind its main leg for a while and get a ton of hits in. Be careful of its back flop attack while attacking from behind though. Try to steer clear of its main arm where most of its attacks will also come from. Circle around it for this encounter while trying to keep to its side. If you find yourself in front, roll toward it to get yourself in a better position while avoiding the attack. Most of its attacks can be avoided by keeping out of its line of sight and keeping to the side. Circling around it will force it to rotate before its next attack. Attack its legs and its head when lowered and you will be able to slowly deplete its health until its defeated.

Every Soulsborne game has atleast one disgusting bodyhorror Boss.
This is that Boss.

Wierdly, this boss was still attacking Pieta after she died during my fight. Only rarely did I need to dodge when it was jumping backwards and slamming into the ground. The most dangerous thing about my fight with it was the poison that it was surrounded with. Anyone else encounter this bug? At least, I assume it's a bug.

Was one of the easiest bosses in NG for my build, wiped the floor with me for an hour in NG+... Which is weird, because Pieta wasn't really hard, bow girl was a joke, but this guy actually made me swap some items around =)

bosses comically easy with summons so far. I'm done using them. this boss is so sick tho I just wish I didn't beat him so fast

Stay calm, be patient- don't forget your lamp. The leg is easier to attack at close range, and the head at a distance. Circling towards the leg works well, and sticking to light and running light attacks keeps you mobile. Also- there is a reason you meet a merchant selling fire salts immediately before this.

Oh, it seems there´s an attack missing from the list - the thing has a "grab", more like a snap, actually. Swallows you whole and chews you up for a bit. Not really a insta-kill move, but dangerous nonetheless. Sadly I can´t really tell you about the windup for the attack, he did it only once and had I known it´s tell I wouldn´t have gotten eaten in the first place XD

Someone please add the summonable NPCs to the list. I derped out and summoned the first cloud (turned out to be our Iron Wayfarer friend) and then realized there were two more available. I am curious of who those were. Didn´t get a chance to look again as I failed to die ^^ Also, can someone confirm rumors of old-school Dark Souls summoning Quest progression for the NPCs ?

It doesn't matter which npc you summon for the fight does it? Some people are saying that the choice matters on reddit
Boss also has a small parasite shielding him. if you drain him long enough with your lamp it will remove it and you'll do quite a bit more damage per swing.

Just blocked everything and regained withered health with a couple hits after the attack. Pretty simple, no dodging or parry timing. Also fire weapon seemed to do well.

Worst boss yet, delayed faint attacks, **** camera and poison.
