The Best Tips for Abbess Ursula:
- Recommended Spells: Poison Weapon, Septic Heave,
- Recommended Items: Smite Cure
- Recommended Weapons: Enhanced Lump Hammer
Abbess Ursula begins with a powerful holy beam that builds up Smite and can shoot across the arena. This beam can slowly track you, but you can dodge ahead much faster than the beam and reach her and attack. She wields a staff that allows her to deal a number of different spells that can build Smite and Bleed. Her powers will also allow her to transport herself around the boss area. At times, she will take out her goblet that she will take a drink out of. This is the perfect opportunity to strike or deal a charged attack since this action can be interrupted. If you manage to stab her, you will clear a good chunk of health.
When she is overwhelmed, she can set up a trap that covers a few areas of the floor in thorny vines. This will inflict Bleed when you come into contact. You will need to bait her out of these areas or use a weapon with a bigger reach. As a sorceress, she is susceptible to heavy physical attacks and attacks with fire.

Barely noticed her in NG, hell on NG+ as those holy lasers one hit you even with 45 vitality and heavy armor. On NG+ either blast her from a distance while being very careful to not let her heal completely, although it's expensive as she has a ton of health, or learn to dodge the beams and her attacks in melee. One thing that helps is the protection aura, you can survive a hit from a beam with it.

Easy on normal playthrough, nearly unbeatable on Ng+ and beyond, but I found a good way: poison. Use the hushed saints halberd (150poison) with the umbral spell poisonous weapon, pendant of burden and bloodbane ring and for protection abbess set or radiant purifiers and make use of the soulflail of your lantern with increased stun and 25% damage to the soul and the fight gets easy.even If she heals up to full health again, the poison continues it's job.

Pietas Sword + Hallowed Triptych (Poise from Holy Damage) just stunlocks her.

Shes a joke. First trys she deathstars you. And then shes just a victim.. hug the pilar and Play peakaboo with ranged Spells or weapons.

The damage on this boss is Wack, you can have maxed out holy resistance plus a holy resistant consumable, a holy resistant ring, a near capped out HP pool, and the beam will still one-shot you. Even with the damage reduction from aura of tenacity it does not do a thing. I honestly think the devs made the beam ignore resistances because nothing seems to change its value from a complete one-shot to anything less.
