Kukajin (Boss) is a Boss in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Kukajin (Boss) first appears as the Petrified Woman found in Forsaken Fen. This is an optional boss, as players can help Kukajin from her petrified state and later hire her as a mercenary while defeating Bosses in Lords of the Fallen (LOTF). She becomes hostile and will attack you if you hire her and fail to give her payment (Kukajin Invoice). Bosses are powerful enemies that add challenging experiences to the game. Defeating them grants players rare and/or unique armaments, armor, magic, and other items. In some cases, they are required to advance the story further.

Where to Find Kukajin (Boss) Boss in Lords of the Fallen
- Kukajin (Boss) is located in the plaza in Upper Calrath, near the gatehouse that leads back to Skyrest Bridge.
- To trigger this fight, the first thing you need to do is, summon her in one of the colossal boss fights > return to her in Skyrest Bridge after the fight > when prompted, choose do nothing > fight and defeat another boss battle. You'll know she will appear as a boss when she leaves her spot in Skyrest Bridge the next time you visit her.
- As of 10/12/2023, it may not work. See notes for a tested way to trigger this encounter.

The Best Tips for Kukajin (Boss):

From Skyrest Bridge, make your way to the nearest gate that will lead you to Upper Calrath. You will find her waiting in the main path near broken carriages in the plaza. She is immediately hostile as soon as you enter her arena and there are no chances to persuade Kukajin to work with you again in the future.
Kukajin's moves are pretty straightforward. She can execute rolls to dodge your attacks and you can also parry her attacks. She will run straight towards you if you try to keep your distance and will perform a single slashing attack to close the gap between the two of you. When she gets closer, you will notice that she will charge up her attack and do a heavy 2-step swinging attack while aiming for you. You can effectively dodge this by running away. A good tip is to keep your camera on her and have your character walk backward or roll away from her.
As you keep hitting her, Kukajin can be staggered and she will completely lose her balance. You can attack her while she's down but she can protect herself and perform a parry as she stands up. As she performs her heavy attacks, you can take note of the charging period and this will give you ample amount of time to react properly. Another option is to run around Kukajin and attack her from behind while she is charging her heavy attack. This pattern will continue and you should be able to come out of this fight as a winner by doing a combination of parry, rolling, and dodging.

- As of 10/12/2023, triggering this encounter the normal way is bugged. There is still a more tricky a way to make her vanish. It goes as follows. As of 20/12/2023, issue seems to be fixed.
- Free Kukajin
- Talk to her at Skyrest Bridge and make her available as a summon
- (not required) Summon for The Hushed Saint and pay her
- Advance till Fief of the Chill Curse and vestige before The Hollow Crow boss fight
- (Optional) Make save file copy, as it may take more than 1 attempt
- Summon her for The Hollow Crow and don't pay her, then without resting at Vestige/dying/exiting the game go beat The Lightreaper at his spot in Fief of the Chill Curse.
- Alternatively, player can go for The Sundered Monarch -> Adyr the Bereft Exile or Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel -> Tancred Master of Castigations. Key is that these must be 2 main bosses and 1st has to be one where Kukajin can be summoned.
- If done properly, she should vanish from Skyrest Bridge. Then progress the game as you wish till you get to Upper Calrath to the place she appears as boss.

AnonymousAs of today (20th December) then issue with the Kukajin boss fight has been fixed. After summoning her for help at the first colossal boss fight Choose to do nothing when you speak to her again at Skyrest (rather than paying her invoice). She will disappear after you fight the next colossal boss. After which go back to Skyrest and she will be gone. She appears in Upper Calrath where she a fairly easy fight.

How to fix the bug:
1. Start another NG, go to the swamp, free her and talk to her at Skyrest
2. Do not call either the Hushed Saint or Dervla;
3. When you get to the elevator to upper Calrath, don't go up, go do the ice part first, call her at Hollow Crow, don't pay and kill the Lightreaper right there on the ice;
4. Now go to upper Calrath and she will be there to kill

If you have the bug where shes not leaving, there is a video on youtube called: Lords of the Fallen how to spawn in glitched Kukajin boss fight. That method should work 100 percent

This must be bugged after the most recent patch. Tried every combination of paying her, not paying next etc. and she won't leave Skybridge

This is bugged. I used her on Hushed Saint , and I have killed all bosses up to Lightreaper without paying her and she is still in Skyrest. The only thing that I can think of that bugged this is I killed the crow before harrower dervla on this run . This run I intended to complete her quest but completely forgot to die and summon her for the crow . Didn't think it was too bad as I still needed to kill her as an optional boss for the kill all bosses achievement . Now looking at 2 more runs for 2 achievements. This game really needs to sort out its bugs.

You don't have to deny her money or talk to her again. Used her on Hushed Saint and went to Revelation Depths boss. Went in and died to get summons and she was not summonable and wasn't in Skyreach. She still spawned as boss for me.
The method just below me worked for me first try on Xbox here in March 2024 in the year of Allah.
