Reinhold the Immured LOTF Fight Strategy
The Best Tips for Reinhold the Immured:
- Recommended Spells: Cataclysm, Seismic Slam, Radiant Spells
- Recommended Items: Burn Resistance Balm
As you face Reinhold the Immured you will be able to stand directly under him while attacking his limbs. Try to stick to his hind legs and watch out for its body slams. Body slams are easier to predict since he will stand up on two legs for a brief moment before slamming himself on the gound. If you wait for its approach, its regular swipe attacks, are quick and hard to predict. There's also a chance that it will leap towards you. If you get caught in the landing area, it can knock you down.
During the initial phases of the fight, you can stay close to hit him and eventually, he could fall and reveal a vulnerable point behind him. This section will glow. Target this area to deal a critical hit. You can also follow with a few standard attacks before his next action. Continue targeting its limbs while dodging its claw swipes until he starts to produce magma. At one point, his attacks or actions could leave a pool of magma underneath him, which will cause Burn. You will have to stay clear of all Magma pools left on the ground. Once he activates his fire attacks, he can now also deal a ranged magma stream attack which will spew out like a flamethrower and has a far range. Back up or dodge to either side of the liner attack. Once the area is clear of fire, you can start to run back in. Just watch out for when his limbs start to glow in preparation for his next fire attack. Continue targeting his hind legs while dodging his attacks and sprinting away from his landing area throughout the fight.
Easy victory - Inferno build
Cataclysm spell is a way to trivalize the whole encounter and skip phase transition. Simply cast at medium range and spam this spell this Reinhold's death. Due to his unique poise-related mechanic, he will be permamently stunned providing player can cast Cataclysm every 5-7 seconds
Reinhold the Immured Attacks & Counters
Attack | Description | Counter |
Claw Swipe | Reinhold has a large reach that can swipe covering a large area. He can deal a backhand or a forehand swipe. | Dodge through these attacks. |
Body Slam | An attack where he throws his body into the ground crushing those underneath. The animation begins with him walking on two legs. | When he starts to move upright, look at which direction he faces and avoid his line of sight. |
Stomp | A stomping attack that can use one or two of his limbs to slam into the ground. | Dodge back away to avoid incoming damage. |
Fiery Stomp | A regular stomp attack that is imbued with fire. | Dodge back away to avoid incoming damage. |
Head butt Charge | Reinhold sprints forward and nudges those in the way aside, knocking them over. | If you're at a distance, you can see the direction of his sprint. He won't change direction mid action so you will have time to evade his path. |
Leap | Can be done in place or while repositioning, damaging those who remain as he lands. | Dodge in the opposite direction of his leap |
Magma Leap | A special attack that enhances his leap attack with Burn, leaving a pool of magma. | Watch for his glowing limbs and steer clear of the direction of his jump and the magma pool it leaves behind. |
Magma Stream | Like a flamethrowing attack. He spews a long-range stream of magma that can almost reach the opposite side of the arena. | Dodge to either side to evade the direction of the attack. |
Scream | His scream emits a shockwave of energy that can knock you back. | Sprint away from him or distance yourself. |
Dive Attack | Much like the Body slam attack where he throws his body on the ground and accompanies this action with a swipe of his arms to extend his range | Dodge to either side of the landing space. |

He also has a grab attack where he chomps on you but it's not listed. Looks really similar to his claw swipe.

IDK what level this area is supposed to be but after i beat the whole of calrath and lit the beacon i headed over here, with my level 44 ass and dual-wielding status build (bloodlust +6 and kukajin's sword +6 with pendant of burden and bloodbane ring). I reached this boss, first try didnt get to second phase, second try the burning status effect shredded both bosses and i easily won, i think i am under levelled as i only just figured out how to get to fief so if your struggling use burn, it trivialises this fight!

NG+ will make you hate the second phase, NG 0 forever. Also, NG+ makes Soulflay on bosses useless, which is just dumb to take a core mechanic away, so don't think you can soulflay phase 1 for a quick win in NG+.

This boss sums up why radiance builds in this game are the meta. Try running an inferno build here and realize just how bad inferno is, as 70% of the game's enemies are resistant to it.

In NG+ his HP pool is just silly. Also if you happen to be playing an infernal build all your attacks do basically nothing.
Infernal feels EXTREMELY underpowered in this game because everything is resistant to it!

This guy is really disapointing, he has like no posture, and instead of making his 2nd phase somehow upgrade first one, its just a completly different and might i add even easier boss.

When I fought him, I used the Lucent Beam and it instantly broke his posture and left him vulnerable to critical attacks. His entire fight lasted less than fifteen seconds.

one hurt finger and a cracked glass small table is what it takes to beat this guy very under leveled

first health bar was good, but this is just too much after the first fight.

No clue how I got to this guy so early, was exploring the Fen and got stuck on Hushed Sentinel for so long I got frustrated. Went through the Bell door and somehow I am here. You can imagine my surprise when the knight fell, thought that I was just that good all of a sudden, until this guy popped out :Dd
Used a maxed out Harrower Dervla's Crossbow with Twisted Bolts on NG+. It broke his posture on every single burst. Shoot the crossbow, grevious strike, repeat until dead. Made the fight pretty stupid tbh, especially since this was the most challenging fight on my first playthrough
