Mind your step for any part of the floor that has been soiled with magma. Clearing the creatures in this realm will slowly deplete his HP bar as he begins and carries on with his monologue. Dialogue

  • They brand me evil, a tyrant, and yet I offer you something they will not: a choice. Reject the fanatical crusaders and the deranged servants of the self-proclaimed judge, dismiss all their fall dogma and the torturous mission to which they have bound you, and only then will you know freedom. And, if you would hear it, the truth...
  • Why do you refuse to open your eyes to their manipulations, to millennia of shameful distortions of the truth? For eons I stood as mankind's guardian, shepherding them with wisdom and love, yet in return, I was betrayed. Those three power-hungry malefactors who declared themselves judges turned my own children against me and waged a terrible war of needless slaughter.
  • The Judges and their crazed followers butchered those who remained loyal to me, and when I created Rhogar as a means to put an end to the madness, they too were no match for the heathen forces. In the end, even I fell. All though the Judges found themselves unable to kill a god.. despite their best efforts.
  • In a world left blackened and corpsed-choked by their crusade, the Judges banished me to this barren realm, which has served as my prison ever since. Meanwhile, mankind set about ruling themselves, free from eh divine oppression of which they accused me, and yet how little time passed before the Judges themselves were raised to the status of demi-gods, figures of worship, their real ambition, all too clear, yet an outcome the people deluded themselves into believing a triumph.
  • How much blood has been spilled in their names since my banishment? Far more than was ever spilled in my name.
  • And now, after all the time mankind have had to shape their own destiny, see what they have made of it: war, greed, hatred, suffering, chaos... They believed they were capable of guiding themselves, but have been proven sorely mistaken. Mankind needs me, now more than ever.
  • And what of other beings who claim godhood, where are they? What of Orius and the abhorrent Umbral creature? They are cowards, hiding in false light and obfuscating shadow, deeming you unworthy of their presence, their communion -- and yet here I stand before you with tre words and open arms, for I love all of my children, even the wayward ones.

**** I've been running dual daggers all game and now this boss fight is hard as **** because I can't stand in the fire pool that spawns on the followers

      • Anonymous

reminder that the lame ass orius ending is most likely canon meaning that your poor 5'9 manlet lampy had to go through this slog of a boss fight just to be incinerated by some poser god right after and there's nothing you could do but watch

I can understand people being disappointed with the final boss being an easy gimmick boss like this, but personally I didn't have much of an issue specially since we did have a pretty decent fight before it. It's there more as a statement and make you think, just like the final boss of Demon's Souls.

I didn't like this boss fight, or the one with the Iron Wayfarer, but overall I loved this game. I haven't touched the pvp aspect, but pve was polished and I think they patched out the early enemy gank issues that everyone complained of when the game first came out. This was a nice way to tide me over until the Elden Ring DLC. I hope to see a DLC in the near future, and definitely a sequel.

I think people miss the point with this guy, through the whole game him and his followers seem weakened, and incomplete, specially him, just a desire for vengeance and something better than will never come due to their own weakness, this fight is the final breath of a god who is now powerless, who has nothing but to try to reason with you and hope you come to your senses, he is incomplete, this is why you fight his followers who summoned him to maintain him, because without them he is nothing. its supposed to be sad and reflective as to how everything got to this state... though i do wish something more to it, still i think what we got has a merit to it, regardless if you agree with him or not. though... just finished the game 2 times and im still trying to wrap my head around everything so dont take me too seriously lol. But still... for what it brought and how different this was... i appreciate it...

Can't decide if I was relieved by how simple the fight was after everything else this game puts you through, or let down. Either way, bring fire resist!

I wasn't aware that I needed to play a Deatiny 2 raid to beat Lord sof The Fallen, it's by far the most annoying boss fight of the entire game, Tancred wasn't bad, the Sundered King was laughably easy, and now I have to run Ad clear for a boss that just monologues at me? Castlevania 64 which came out in the 90s had a better final boss than this, how was THIS the idea they chose to go with, gell at least the Judge from the first game was actually a dude you fought

                  • Anonymous

my god , so many whiny little girls on here, nobody wants to listen to dudes ***** and complain about everything

This manages to be worse than Deacons of the Deep simply because of the fact the worshipers have tracking fireballs and will occasionally leave behind puddles of fire. At least Deacons felt manageable without feeling like a pain but the worshipers here are just terrible.

                      • Anonymous

Friendly reminder to people that not only is this a gimmick fight where you're being mobbed by multiple enemies who can burn/ignite you, this fight is also TIMED. So if you're trying to avoid the pools of lava at every turn and use ranged options, be prepared to be a sitting duck to tracking fireballs as well as possibly not hitting enrage in time

                        • Anonymous

He should have had Phase 2. This guy was a God and should have acted like one, but they treated him like the Dragon God from Demon's Souls. He mentioned he created mankind and blah blah, considering he possessed such powers, he should have downsized himself to fight us face to face in Phase 2. Wasted opportunity, CI Games.

                          • I mean it isn't a great boss, but at least he actually shows up to the party this time.

In the mediocre 2014 game he doesn't get so much as a cameo. You fight Satan with a big claw.

Still, lame to have such a meh boss for what's going to be the ending the majority of people get first time through.

I know I was certainly left bereft after clearing this boss. Who thought the first phase of the Deacons needed to be a endgame boss? Jesus christ.

all of you saying this boss fight was easy clearly are not running glass cannon builds because my 10 vigor and 20 endurance has actually been rock solid this entire run but having to deal with this in a room with a massive mob and tons of dot damage puddles and and fireballs flying all the time puts this boss as the hardest boss the entire game for me bar none..... I can dodge bosses, and handle general moves from enemies..... but dodging enemies and spells I can't see coming at me in a box with little safety while lava is everywhere and taking too long ends with me going out to adyrs no escape heart bomb........ yeah I was rocking the stynger pendant and naked but put on all the highest fire resistance armor and rocked all the buff spells but still going at it.....

wtf was that?? i play on ps5 and this and the one bevore where strange fights.. i got hit by invisible stuff and gainst adyr i didnt knowed what to do. i just killed his "fans"

                                  • Anonymous

i understand this isnt the "true" ending boss but this is the ending that is the most easiest to get, especially since you cant get any of the other endings unless you REALLY know how to get them, since just purifying one of the giant red beams locks you into this awful fight. hell, i would argue ALDIA from ds2 is a better final boss because at least he provides a cool lore ending. adyr is just basically going "pls don kill me im not a bad guy promise :("

Damm ppl rlly crying over how easy the boss fight was. A lot of final boss fights are easy. Elden beast is a perfect example. If y'all really weep for more ''challenge'' then repeat the game with ng+ till u reach that dopamine of urs. Y'all really expecting difficulty on ur first playthrough lmao

                                      • Anonymous

This is not a bad boss fight.

But its a horrendously bad FINAL boss fight.

Really disappointing, but considering how disappointing is game overall I didn't even get disappointed that much, I'm just used to it.

                                        • What a joke. Coming to this game from lies of p, with the nameless puppet, this is just so lame.
Just have a cool, humanoid enemy doing all the crazy stuff, launching inferno spell and slashes at you, even if it's the expected fight.

This was just boring as hell and not even challenging. Not a great way to give a "unique fight" at all.

I didn't get his remembrance before leaving the boss arena, and I can't get back inside the area after finishing the radiance ending. It's especially unfortunate because I have an inferno build.

                                            • Anonymous

soooo. you have to absorb his remembrance.... BEFORE you walk up to him for the cutscene??!!!??!! such a troll end to a troll game, what a joke.

                                              • Anonymous

this to me is the bad ending final boss.... hoping the real end boss elianne the starved is better from the umbral ending. Really boring and dull bossfight to.

                                                • Anonymous

I'm impressed by this boss... Overall there is multiple questionable bosses in the game but they dared to put this as the last boss ?

It's just a reskinned Phase one Rennala with less variations / worse arena.
Without the bubble / need to hit the boss after clearing some adds.

You "fight" default mobs spamming fireball kill 15 or so of them in one hit and good job you beat the game... I would have prefered a cutscene to this. By far the worst boss in the game and if you are too fast don't worry you have to wait for the bad guy to finish his monologue before the end trigger, I was expecting a phase or two more after but guess what Lord of the Fallen never fail to surprise me!

                                                  • Anonymous

You can actually get locked out of the remembrance if you dont soulflay the stigma before leaving. Since this was such a shitty boss that was just a shittier deacons of the deep, I pretty much didn't even enter umbral and just mothed outta there afterwards. Turns out you CANNOT reenter the boss arena after.
Then again his rewards aren't particularly great, and nobody plays NG+.
