Scourged Sister Delyth LOTF Fight Strategy
The Best Tips for Scourged Sister Delyth:
- Recommended Spells: Inferno/Umbral Spells
- Recommended Items: Bleed Resistance Balm
She can be buffed from the umbral realm to be unable to be damaged - her health bar will be covered up in blue. The buff comes from down the bottom right corner near where she started. You can use the lamp siphon to explode the red bulges down there and deal with the buff.
Scourged Sister Delyth wields a flail and relies on a variety of basic melee attacks that can build Bleed. The majority of her attacks will begin with a lot of side swinging, sweeping, and overhead or uppercut swinging attacks. When she needs to distance herself, she is able to kick you back and knock you over.
To deal with her advances, you may be able to roll through some of her swings that will get you into a better position behind her to open up a brief moment to attack. If you try to distance yourself, she will slowly walk toward you and only begin to swing once she gets in range. This will give you time to deal a charged or heavy attack which can interrupt her swings. Be mindful of your space here since it is relatively enclosed. She has the ability to advance while she deals a series of swings that can back you up in a corner. After each complete animation, there will be an opening for you to strike back. She moves relatively slowly and resorts to her kick attack when she gets overwhelmed. Circle around while timing your approach to quickly clear the phase while assuring you will have space to dodge and move.
Once her health reaches about a halfway point, she activates her powers and her mobility significantly improves. She will begin to glow in yellow and can now dash and quickly reposition. You will need to be extra alert to quickly turn to her as she moves around the arena. Her combos are also dealt more swiftly. During this phase she will rely on her dashing abilities to reposition herself in between swings. Stay close while circling around her and making sure you do not get backed up. After her dash, quickly advance for an attack. During her swinging combos, continue to dodge backward and rotate around her when you run out of space. She now also has a heavy-charged attack as she lunges which is followed by a brief recovery period that gives you the opportunity to deal multiple attacks. Look out for all these windows while continuing to block or dodge throughout the combos and you will be able to minimize your damage intake while steadily depleting her hp.

I found this boss to be deceptively difficult.
She has a phase 1 that is super easy to defeat. Either poke her with a long weapon or parry her blows, which is comparatively easy.
Phase 2 is something entirely different, though. I didn't beat before I learned how to parry some of her attacks in phase 2. Coop trivializes the fight, though, in case you are super stuck.

I was co-oping with someone and they had the condemned from earlier in the level helping. I can’t figure out how to do that, though?

Pyromancers can melt her easily, free the tortured prisoner first, then buy that inferno spell from her, having a couple mangler axes will make it even easier.
Begin the fight with Delyth, kite her away from the parasite, as soon as she's vulnerable, blast her with the flame thrower while moving backwards, that's most of her health gone, then a bit of axe work and done.

Kinda feels like radiant spells shouldn't be recommended here considering her armor set is very weak to fire.

I would say that this is a fight with two phases, wouldn't you say?

A bell staff made this fight a breeze.(drops from the cloaked dudes on the walkways leading to the fight.) Additionally, using soulflay on her and basic holy spells were crucial for an easy kill.

so you can't fight her again.. but I didn't get a whole set.. does this mean they want us to fight her once a ****ing playthrough and leave it to RNG if we get something????

She seems pretty weak to holy, I used it in phase 2 only and her health was going down fast. Also added about the buff. There's an item that can be soul flayed down in that corner too.

Definitely just killed her for the first time ever...definitely got the hand armor and not the garbs.

I keep seeing people talk about how is this boss is. I beat Milenia my 4th try, but this boss has taken me 50 tries. Whenever I see people on youtube do this boss they have fully double my hp and stamina and I have no idea how because you barely fight any enemies up until this point. Every attack does 60% of my max HP (forcing a heal because I cant take 3) and then heavy overhead slam one shots. I say about 70% of the times I have fought her I perfect parry every single one of her attacks up until phase 2, which is IMPOSSIBLE to parry and inconsistent to dodge. The fight looks completely different when I watch other people do it because they do triple my damage. I even used up 20 fire salts/holy salts to try and speed up her damage. She just attack so ferociously and has so many gap closers that the attack windows are very small, almost non existent and the alternative (parrying) is insanely hard too because her most spammable combo in phase 2 is a 5 hit attack with variable start and end times and I run out of stamina before the combo is over if I did two R1s before she starts it. Am I literally just supposed to grind 30000 souls in this shitty little starting area between the hub and this bonfire? Its like 800 for a full run between the bonfires.
