Smite is a Status Effect in Lords of the Fallen (LOTF). Smite is one of Lords of the Fallen status effects, this one deals Holy Damage in a burst and causes Holy Damage Vulnerability. Status Effects are various buffs or ailments that apply either a beneficial or detrimental effect to the target. Status Effects can be applied on both enemies and players alike. Status Effects are triggered after a buildup meter is filled by repeated application of attacks that cause the effect. Both players and enemies can have varying resistances to a given Status Effect.

Smite Effects LOTF

  • Smite causes a burst of Holy Damage when the bar is filled. Affected enemies will be vulnerable to Holy Damage
  • Every two points spent in any Stat, increases all Status Effects Resistances by a point, including Smite. An increased resistance to Smite slows the build up of the Status effect bar when suffering Smite-inflicting damage.
  • Players can remove the effect of Smite by using a Smite Cure
  • Players can inflict Smite by using Smite Salts.

The effect seems underwhelming compared to others. I don't think its scales with anything. Making 125 damage in mid\late game no matter the stats or enemy (I think bosses are 135). It would be great to have the damage of the effect to scale with stats of enemies (the stronger enemy - the more damage).

This is incorrect. Smite doesn't do damage over time as the wiki claims. It causes a single instance of Holy damage delivered to the target through a vertical lightning strike.
