Exacter Dunmire | Lords of the Fallen Wiki

Exacter Dunmire is an NPC and a Merchant in Lords of the Fallen. Exacter Dunmire belongs to the same holy order as the main character which is the Dark Crusaders. He was first seen during the cinematic after the Character Creation wherein he bestowed a boon upon the Deathless One and challenged them to prove themself worthy of the gift. He dons a round hat, a long gray cloak, holds a book in his right hand, and a cane in the left. NPCs interact with players in different ways, even giving them Quests and rewards as they complete them.

Where to find Exacter Dunmire in Lords of the Fallen

The Dark Crusader Mission

When you arrive at the Skyrest Bridge, you will find Exacter Dunmire in front of the Vestige of Ethryg, along with other NPCs. Speak to Exacter Dunmire to find out about the responsibilities that are expected of you as Orius’ chosen. You will obtain the Gesture: x1 Dark Crusader's Challenge after exhausting his dialogues. After that, you can also check his items for sale.

Upon returning to Skyrest Bridge, you will find Exacter Dunmire has moved to a new location. He can now be found on the balcony on the side of the Main Hall. As you speak to him, he gives you a new task of seeking and returning to him the items that can serve as proof of the Hallowed Sentinels' heretical deviations and malpractices. He explains that this is to turn them towards the light of Orius. Lastly, he will also ask you not to tell Pieta and the captain of the Fidelis about this, as they are already conflicted.

 

Expose the Hallowed Sentinels

Below is the list of items related to Exacter Dunmire's Requests (detailed guide can be found after the list):

• Bloody Aspergillum - Recovered from a statue in Pilgrim's Perch within the arena of Scourged Sister Delyth.
• Book of Sin - Recovered from an Umbral Belly in the lower scaffolding in Pilgrim's Perch.
• Hallowed Sentinel Scripture - Recovered in a cage at the very top of Pilgrim's Perch. (Possibly also found in Forsaken Fen.)
• Vanguard Barros' Rosary - Unlocks a new spell, armor set, and sword, and can be recovered in Forsaken Fen.
• Ravager Gregory's Rosary - Unlocks a new armor set and sword, and can be recovered in Lower Calrath.
• Dark Crusader's Call - Recovered after defeating Harrower Dervla.
• Umbral Tome - Found in Upper Calrath, on a path that leads to Sunless Skein (can be given only after defeating Harrower Dervla).
• Perception Wisp - Obtained from one of the Stigmas in Tower of Penance.

 

Exacter Dunmire previously gave you a task to recover items that expose the truth about the Hallowed Sentinels. He will ask for the Bloody Aspergillum, which is an item that can be obtained within the arena of the Boss Scourged Sister Delyth. Upon entering her arena, look at the left side where you see a tall statue. The boss will not move from the center of the arena so you can still safely loot this item after defeating 2 minions. 

The Book of Sin can be obtained by interacting with an Umbral Belly in the scaffolding of Pilgrim's Perch. You can find this location by crossing the Umbral Realm and passing through a bone bridge. First, use the ladder to go down indicated in the photo below. You can see the bone bridge connected to the wooden platform here. Go down to the wooden scaffolding and tread the bone bridge. This will take you to the lower part of the scaffolding in Pilgrim's Perch - Descent. Soulflay the Umbral Belly to recover the Book of Sin. 

The third item that Exacter Dunmire will ask from you is the Hallowed Sentinel Scripture. This item can be obtained inside a cage at the top of Pilgrim's Perch. From the Vestige of Blind Agatha, head into the caves to the left until you reach the wooden platforms and scaffolding. Locate an area below the balcony where you see a raised platform with lit torches. You will find tough enemies in this section but you can grab this at the end of the platform then escape through the elevator nearby.

After that, Exacter Dunmire will ask you to recover Vanguard Barros' Rosary and Ravager Gregory's Rosary. These items will unlock their respective sets of armor and swords. These items will become purchasable from Exacter Dunmire's Merchant Inventory.

Vanguard Barros' Rosary can be found in one of the huts in Forsaken Fen, near an Emergence Effigy. After defeating the Mendacious Visage a new path will be revealed. Return to the lower area of the arena and make your way down to the slope to reach the hut to the right. You will see a ladder that you can push down here, but down go down this ladder, proceed to the right side to find the second hut where you can get Vanguard Barros' Rosary. 

The Ravager Gregory's Rosary is located in Lower Calrath. From the Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch, head up the ladder and through the roof. Climb the wooden planks forming a platform to the right. As you emerge on the rooftops, be careful of the Raw Mangler waiting to attack you. Carefully claim Ravager Gregory's Rosary from the impaled corpse here.

 

Once you're done with recovering the rosaries, Exacter Dunmire will ask for proof of Harrower Dervla's death who stole his Dark Crusader's Call. After defeating them, bring the item back to Exacter Dunmire. 

At this point, his obsession with the Umbral is becoming more apparent and he will ask you to retrieve an Umbral Tome. This item can be located in the early section of navigating Upper Calrath, on a path that leads to Sunless Skein. From the Vestige of Hooded Antuli, go backward (ignore the corridor with the locked door) and you should be at the bottom of a spiral staircase behind the remnants pictured below.

Cross over to the Umbral Realm and go up. Near the top, you will see an Umbral Flowerbed marking this location. Destroy the wooden structure here and the stack of boxes to reveal the wooden beam that you can jump on. Go to the area on the far right to reveal the room where you can obtain the Umbral Tome. As soon as you have this item, return to Skyrest Bridge to find Exacter Dunmire has moved into Molhu's room, next to the Shrine of the Putrid Mother. 

NOTE: Exacter Dunmire's Merchant Inventory will become unavailable after he receives the Perception Wisp. Make sure to buy all the items you need from him.

The last item that Exacter Dunmire will ask from you is the Perception Wisp, an item that can be obtained in Tower of Penance. This will require you to skillfully navigate the tower and as you go down the tower, carefully jump on the stone platforms until you reach a breakable wooden wall. Behind this door, you will find a Stigma inside that you can soulflay to retrieve the Perception Wisp.

 

Exacter Dunmire Location in Sunless Skein

Once you hand over the Perception Wisp, your next encounter with Exacter Dunmire is in Sunless Skein. From the Vestige of Hooded Antuli, walk down into the mines and take the first ladder you see on your right. This is a shortcut ladder that can be unlocked as you progress in Sunless Skein. Follow this wooden platform and then break the wooden wall at the end to your right.

This will reveal a new path that will lead down to a poison pit at the bottom. You can easily spot the green smoke emitting from below. Exacter Dunmire will hint that the past touches the present down here. Talk to him and exhaust his dialogues before moving on to the next location which is Revelation Depths.

 

Exacter Dunmire Location in Revelation Depths

After speaking to Exacter Dunmire in the Sunless Skein, he will move to another location at the Harrower Dervla's arena in Revelation Depths. Head up the stairs behind the hollow statue, and retrieve the Dunmire's Ring and Dunmire's Rosary next to the well.

To progress his quest further, you will need to gain access to Mother's Lull which requires the Umbral Scouring Clump (50 Umbral Scourings) that can be purchased from Molhu. Interact with the well and hand over the Umbral Scouring Clump, then you will be transported to Mother's Lull after a quick transition. You will find Exacter Dunmire near the entrance for the last time before he disappears from the world. Exhaust his dialogues and leave the area to rest at a Vestige, preferably the one in the mines, where you previously warped in Sunless Skein. 

 

Exacter Dunmire's Body Location in Lords of the Fallen

From the Vestige of Hooded Antuli, proceed backwards through the tunnel, ignoring the path with the locked door. Stick to the left path where you see a lit torch to find Exacter Dunmire's items that you can loot. Interacting with this loot along the tracks will complete the quest 'Expose the Hallowed Sentinels' and unlock the Trophy: Price of Knowledge. You will gain the following items:
