Melchior is an NPC in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Melchior is Drustan's brother who went missing while they were journeying in Mournstead. He ended up dying and incorporated into the effigy of Adyr. NPCs interact with players in different ways, even giving them Quests and rewards as they complete them.

Where to find Melchior in Lords of the Fallen
There's a Stigma found inside the Bramis Castle Throne Room, if you were able to uncover Drustan's fate. This stigma is located in front of Adyr's effigy and will show the fate of Melchior as he asks for forgiveness from his brother Drustan.

This Stigma depicting Melchior's final moments is only revealed if you interact with the Stigma inside a derelict tower in Bramis Castle. This stigma will show the fate of Melchior, where he was asking for forgiveness from his brother, Drustan, for causing all of this. It turns out that Melchior had been taken and his body was incorporated into the effigy of Adyr.

Melchior's Role in Endings in Lords of the Fallen
Unlocking the Umbral Ending in Lords of the Fallen will require killing certain NPCs. By doing so, it will automatically lock out players from completing their quests as well as interacting with them. To unlock the Umbral Ending, do the following related to Melchior:
- In Mother's Lull, first, interact with the non-hostile Remnant to acquire Melchior's Seedpod.
- Use the Seedpod on Melchior's body infused with Adyr's Effigy. By doing this, it will grant access to the third floating platform in Mother's Lull.

Melkor from LOTR, AKA Morgorh.
Since Melchior as the vessel is probably the canonical ending, Melchior serves as the host of the demon God Adyr. Melkor in LOTR being analogous to Satan, this makes sense and is pretty cool. My guess is if there’s a LOTF 2(3?) Melchior will be the big bad.
