What is min maxing?

Min-maxing is a very common practice in RPGS that allows players to maximize the stats of a character that will contribute most to what your character needs, while minimizing the stats that don't contribute to that particular build.

In Lords of the Fallen, for example, the Hallowed Knight can be seen as the best class to start if you want to min-max the build of a Strength-oriented tank. Given that it has high stats in the required Stats, while having the minimum in those that are not relevant for that kind of build. On the other hand, it may not be ideal to be selected if you want to build a Spellcaster class, given the high amount of Stats not relevant to that playstyle.

LotF Warrior Build: Zealot

A Two-handed melee build utilizing smite damage and divine artefacts to aid themselves and their allies.

Equipment

Stats

  • Strength: 35
  • Agility: 8
  • Endurance: 18
  • Vitality: 25
  • Radiance: 20
  • Inferno: 8

The Zealot is a Mid-to-endgame build that follows the classic holy berserker archetype, forgoing protection for raw damage and manoeuvrability, however they also utilize a host of holy relics to both augment their attacks and provide healing aid to themselves and their allies. The majority of their damage comes from the use of charged heavy attacks and smite damage, and due to the Umbral Eye of Loash any damage taken while charging an attack will instead be wither damage. Because of this any charged attack that hits will restore all wither health gained while charging.

Thanks to the Pendant of Atrophy it allows for latimer javelin spams bursting anything down in 1-3 hits in NG+ pieta died in roughly 5 javelins xD

          Blasphemous Archdemon Build

The armor is mostly a costume with this build as you rely heavily on your shield, and spells to protect you. However the armor listed provides decent defense against physical, fire, and holy damage types, not to mention it looks pretty cool with the right tinctures...

          Intended for NG+ or higher
          Type: Tank
          Class: Any

          Weapon:
          Pietta's Sword+5 (3x Olandi Rune)
          OR
          Elianne the Starved's Sword +5 (2x Satus Rune + 1x Balago Rune)

Shield: Shield of Whispers+5 (3x Nartun Rune)

          Armor:
          Conflagrant Seer Helm
          Lord Armor
          Lord Gauntlets
          Pietta's Leggings

          Accessories:
          Manastone Ring
          Hallowed Triptych/Faceless Carving
          (Pietta/Elianne's Sword)
          Orian Sorcerer's Ring/Unblinking Root
          (Pietta's/Elianne's Sword)

          Magic:
          Aura of Tenacity
          Invigorating Aura
          Radiant Weapon/Umbral Weapon (Pietta's/Elianne's Sword)
          Blessed Reflections

          Stats
          Strength: 35
          Agility: N/A
          Endurance: 50+
          Vitality: 50+
          Radiance: 50+
          Inferno: 22

          Usage:
FOR PATIENT PEOPLE you want to keep your shield up as much as possible while waiting for the right moment to strike.
You can also keep your shield up while watching and memorizing attack patterns.
Invigorating Aura+Aura of Tenacity (used together) will reduce the damage you receive/withered damage while blocking as well as heal your health. Using the 3x Nartun + Manastone Ring will allow you to regenerate mana despite using two auras at the same time.
Radiant/Umbral weapon will enhance your chosen weapon rather significantly, and with your mana regenerating this shouldn't be an issue even if you need to keep using it for though opponents or bosses.

Once you have an opening attack with 3-5 light attacks and block with your shield or move away to regenerate stamina as needed.

Your armor is almost irrelevant since (in theory) you're blocking all attacks with your shield while reducing any damage taken with Aura of Tenacity if you make a mistake.

Heavy memento is the most broken item in this game. you can socket any type of runes, make it weightless, and requirement-less. and the % listed numbers are actually flat damage reduction. So yes you can block 100% fire damage. socket 1 (requirementsr rune) socket 2 (stamin recharge speed) socket 3 (health recharge speed). One item that can work with ANY build, congrats now you have the cheatcode to NG+

im running a immortal spellpriest build got the mana regen ring and the mana regen rune on my shield with both on and at 50 radience aura of tenacity doesn't lose mana so i can have it constantly that paired with the radiant orb and the invigorating aura and a decent amount of mana stones to refill and i am almost immortal. the only way to kill me is to beat the damage while not dieing in the radiant sphere. i also buffed my damage with the empyrean necklace and the oryan sorcerer ring

Strongest build in the game is a quality with throwing hammer, the lydia umbral eye so u get infinite ammo at 0 cost, then u get throwable ring bonus damage and 2 mourningstead sword with 4 throw enanchements runes, u deal massive damage and stunlock every single enemy in the game, im literally doing all bosses no damage thats disgusting.
