ive been trying to farm this for an hour, is there something I'm doing wrong? killing the hunter right outside the walls of what is announced as the fief
This is one of my favorite weapons in the game. The rune slots are good, and the cold aux effect is perfect for it since so many enemies are weak to it. Looks like a stylish, normal dagger with no extra BS slapped all over it. If you build for this right, this little dagger can hit extremely hard.
How you may ask? Well, because the rune slots aren't complete garbage like many weapons in this game (looking at you quality scaling weapons with rad slots), and because daggers excel at dual wielding, you really should consider just spend the time getting 4 dimexus runes. Won't take you too long, just farm the two stillness enemies at skyrest bridge. That's going to net you 40% extra damage. Which...is just wild.
But we can get dumber. Wear the grayson ring. get yourself another dual wielding damage boost. Estimates have it around 5-10%. Let's just round it up to 10%. Congratulations, you are now doing 50% extra damage, for free.
But we can get, even, DUMBER. Get two Ruq runes, place them on your daggers, now you are doing additional posture damage. But no...no you see, that's STILL not dumb enough.
Wear the blood bane ring. Then, wear the pendant of burden. It's getting to be quite gross right now. Because now? If you apply poison be it through throwable or salts, you are proccing:
Frostbite
Bleed
Poison
Which not only build damage thanks to the amulet on TOP of your already stacked daggers, but the stats you are proccing just utterly eat through health. Frostbite tears out chunks of health while bleed makes them susceptible to even MORE damage on TOP of poison doing DoT. If you want, I also recommending using ignite/burn as your salt instead of poison, that way you can stack an additional element making your damage even higher.
It's probably the most fun I have had with a status build in any of these types of games ever. It's just an absolute miasma hellcloud of chaos when stuff starts procc'ing and the whole time you are dancing around with daggers. It's very, very, very fun, and I recommend you give it a try.
