Large Deralium Shards
Effect Deralium ore used for advanced weapon upgrades.

Large Deralium Shards is an Upgrade Material in Lords of the Fallen (LotF) that can be used to upgrade Weapons, Shields and Catalysts from +5 up to +9.

Bound by both iron and unnaturally prolonged lifespans, the miners of Sunless Skein toil endlessly. Like much of the cold rock within which they are entombed, their minds are long bereft of whatever value they once contained.

Where to find Large Deralium Shards in Lords of the Fallen

Large Deralium Shards can be found in the following places:

• Can be purchased from Gerlinde in Skyrest Bridge (unlimited quantity) after progressing to the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters.
• In Update v.1.1.292, x40 can be found in Skyrest Bridge, near the Shrine of Orius, in the small alcove with hammocks, where heroes, like you, take their very well-deserved rest. This pickup is per character, so you can retrieve it for all your characters that meet the requirements.
• Can be purchased from Thehk-Ihir after finding and speaking to him next to the Vestige of Dieter at the Path of Devotion. Finding and speaking to him expands the merchant's inventory which adds this item to the shop.
• Additional pieces are added to Thehk-Ihir's inventory which can be purchased after finding and speaking to him next to the Vestige of Rosamund in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters. Finding and speaking to him expands the merchant's inventory which adds this item to the shop.
• Pilgrim's Perch: After picking up the Umbral Eye of Iorelo the Cursed Knight, head back and go through the doorway where you just fought Pilgrims and Shrouded Remnant. In this small cavern, you'll find another Umbral Flowerbed, as well as two Large Deralium Shards behind the ladder.
• Pilgrim's Perch: After defeating The Sacred Resonance of Tenacity, exit the cave back outside on the balconies of Pilgrim's Perch, where there'll be an Umbral Flowerbed nearby. Turn left and as you exit, you can pick up two Large Deralium Shards.
• Pilgrim's Perch: If you proceed to go to the Manse, use your Umbral Lamp on the broken bridge to reveal an Umbral path leading to the other side. There'll be a ladder on the right up ahead, but before you go up, an Ardent Penitent will jump out from behind it. You'll have to take out your Umbral Lamp again or just enter the Umbral to get up to the next platform. Defeat the Pilgrim up here then enter the doorway on the right. There'll be an Umbral Flowerbed directly on the left, and a chest containing 4 Small Deralium Fragments, 3 Regular Deralium Nuggets, and 2 Large Deralium Shards.
• Lower Calrath: After picking up the Skinstealer Spear, cross the wooden bridge to the other side and ignore the wooden steps first to grab some Fire Salts. Now up the wooden steps and you'll find yourself on the platform where you were previously. Drop down to the open area on your right to climb up the ladder. Climb up the next ones as well and then circle around the structure until you see some large ropes. There should be a gap you can enter in between them to pick up x3 Regular Deralium Nuggets, x4 Small Deralium Fragments, and some Large Deralium Shards.
• Upper Calrath B (accessed after completing the "Cistern" location): From the marketplace, but follow the path to the left this time when you head out. You'll find two Large Deralium Shards hiding in the small broken barrel on your left.
• Cistern: Follow the straightforward path and eventually, you will stumble upon another ladder. Head down and pick up the x3 Regular Deralium Nuggets near the ladder. Carefully proceed as there will be a Pilgrim that will try to push you to the cliffs. Clear both Pilgrims in the area and pick up the x2 Large Deralium Shards. 
• Cistern: After you find Shovel-Head, head out and, near the Effigy, notice that there is a tunnel that is barricaded with planks. Destroy it, clear the enemies inside, and receive x2 Large Deralium Shards
• Path of Devotion: Continue down the path from the Vestige of Dieter, there is a body on the left side of the path. There you can pick up x2 Large Deralium Shards.
• Tower of Penance: After picking up the Map of the Tower of Penance, take the ladder upwards, and you'll be able to enter the tower through an upper archway. Right in front of you will be another Umbral Flowerbed. Past it, head through the doorway and onto some wooden platforms in the next room. Head to the end, then enter the Umbral. Soulflay the body across the way to lower a platform you can jump onto. Turn left and go down the ladder, then continue circling around and drop down to the lower platform. Stand on the small Umbral platform, then look to your left to find another one you can pull towards you. Jump onto it to continue to the next platform. Defeat the Ardent Penitent that bursts through the nearby wooden planks, then stand on top of the ladder, don't head down it. If you look over the ledge, you'll find a lower platform you can jump to that the ladder doesn't get to. Jump down to it to find a chest that contains a Deralium Chunk within the jail cell. After grabbing it, look over to the left of the platform and jump down to the platform the ladder would have taken you to. Soulflay the body to lower the platform ahead, then enter the jail cell to find two Large Deralium Shards on a table.
• The Empyrean: In the same area where the Map of the Empyrean is found, On the other side of the same level, break the wooden breakable objects on the left side to pick up some Large Deralium Shards.
• Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters: From the Vestige of Rosamund, head to the wall behind the vestige and break the wooden objects. In the corner will be a body and x2 Large Deralium Shards.
• Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters: From the Umbral Flowerbed at the courtyard, follow the path on the left and take the stairs all the way up until you reach the locked gate. Use your Umbral Lamp to reveal a path across, head to the path on the left and make your way through while clearing the area of enemies. Pass the blood fountain and head up to the Abbess shooting gradient lasers at you, defeat it and obtain x2 Large Derelium Shards in a crate.
• Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters: From the Umbral Flowerbed in the room with candle-lit murals, hear out and down the stairs to find a body and x2 Large Derelium Shards next to it.
• The Empyrean: As you head up, you'll be shot at by an Abbess with her Radiant lasers. After the first set of stairs, you can head to the right side to find a gate you can bypass with the Umbral Lamp or by transitioning to Umbral to pick up the Map of the Empyrean. On the other side of the same level, break the wooden breakable objects on the left side to pick up some Large Deralium Shards.
• Bramis Castle: From the Umbral Flowerbed up the stairs past the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim, continue along the path and up the stairs to find a breakable wall. Break the wall and defeat the Ruiner, head to the open archway on the left, and go continue along the hall to find another Ruiner patrolling the area. After defeating the Ruiner, head to the open area on the left to find a chest containing x2 Large Deralium Shards, x3 Regular Deralium Nuggets, and x8 Small Deralium Fragment.
• Fief of the Chill Curse: From the Umbral Flowerbed in the ruins, head down the path until you reach what looks like castle ruins. Head to the left of the blocked gate to get across, then continue down the path. Make sure to Warp to the Umbral to get through. Towards the right there is a narrow walkway that leads to to a small town. In a narrow alleyway near the statue, you can pick up x2 Large Deralium Shards.
• Fief of the Chill Curse: From the Vestige of Loash head through the archway leading to The Hollow Crow's Boss arena, after defeating it, head to the doorway and take the ladder down. Continue through the bridge until the next tower. Head up the tower to reach the beacon. Next to it is a chest, open it and pick up x1 Deralium Chunk, x2 Large Deralium Shards, x3 Regular Deralium Nuggets, x4 Small Deralium Fragment.
• Manse of the Hallowed Brothers: On the end of what the walkthrough describes as Boss: Abiding Defenders, there will be a gate that leads to to open a shortcut back to the room where you entered the Umbral to reveal a ladder. Afterwards, defeat the Avowed on the balcony. Climb the ladder at the end upwards and re-enter the building through the archway at the top. At the end of the wooden platform are two Large Deralium Shards.
• Manse of the Hallowed Brothers: On the part of the location walkthrough named shortcut galore, from the location where you find the Several Penitent can be found here, as well as the Abbot Vernoff's Key on the altar.Head down the stairs and through the archway on the right as you go down. You can also open a gateway here for yet another shortcut. You can shine your Umbral Lamp at the other gate next to it to head into the room for two Large Deralium Shards.
