By upgrading an item, it improves the stats and it can also add extra features or effects. Upgrade Materials in Lords of the Fallen (LotF) can be obtained in different ways such as loot from the ground, dead bodies scattered in both Axiom and Umbral Realms, inside chests, purchased from Merchants, or acquired as a reward for completing Quests or by defeating Bosses.
