Boss Remembrances or Remembrances in Lords of the Fallen (LotF) are special items that grant players access to a list of exclusive equipment that are related to the Colossal Sentinels of the game. A Remembrance Item is mainly acquired by "Soul-flaying" the Stigma of the defeated Colossal Boss. Players can view a list of all the boss items by speaking to Molhu at Skyrest Bridge and purchasing it with Umbral Scouring, a unique currency that is mainly used for buying Remembrance Equipment and Magic.

How to Obtain a Remembrance Item in Lords of the Fallen?
Acquiring a Remembrance Item or Boss Remembrance in Lords of the Fallen (LotF) can be easily missed by the player since finding one is not explained in the game. Normally, defeating a major boss in a souls-like game would automatically reward the player with special boss-type items, but in Lords of the Fallen, that's not the case. Upon defeating a Colossal Sentinel or Colossal Boss, the player will acquire some rewards such as a Vestige Seed and Umbral Scouring. These are just partial rewards and what you want to gain is the sentinel's remembrance.

To do this, after completing the battle, do not leave the boss area first but instead, look around to find a swarm of blue moths (if you are in the Axiom realm) or a memory fragment (if you are in the Umbral realm) to find the boss Stigma. Using the Umbral Lamp, the player must "Soulflay" the fragment to reveal past events. You'll automatically acquire its Remembrance Item after viewing or listening to the Stigma and it will be automatically added to the player's inventory. Please take note that Boss Remembrances will not be carried over in succeeding NG+ Cycles.
How to Use a Remembrance Item in Lords of the Fallen?
To use a Remembrance Item or Boss Remembrance, players must first acquire the Bowl of Revelations which can be found in Pilgrim's Perch. You can check our walkthrough for Pilgrim's Perch to find out how to obtain the key item. Once you have it, return to Skyrest Bridge, warp into the Umbral realm, and give the quest item to Molhu. By giving the Bowl of Revelations, the feature to "Offer Remembrance" when interacting with Molhu becomes available.

By choosing "Offer Remembrance", players can view the Remembrance that they've acquired to find a list of boss-related Weapons, Armor, Shields, and Magic. Players are also free to purchase any item as long as they have enough Umbral Scouring, a unique currency that is used for purchasing items of a Remembrance. Umbral Scouring is normally obtained after "Soulflaying" a Stigma that can be found in different locations and by defeating a Colossal Sentinel or the main bosses of the game.

Well idk if it's from doing a respec or invading, but after doing a respec and invading (and also buying an item from the smith) then coming back to boss weapon guy, I'm able to re buy any boss weapon/item I want. Also if doing a respec is included you only have to respec once before you can buy a boss weapon again, then every time I invaded the boss items would reappear for shrimp purchase again. So i have two yellow lightsabers and could purchase a third, plus other weapons I wanna try without going into ng+. Just only 4 chucks so save data first.

Some of my friends can buy pretty much unlimited remembrance items as long as they have scourings... I am only able to buy one of each and then there is nothing else offered.
Anyone know why this is?

Purchase boss item, respec once, buy item from Smith (any item but idt you need to do this part), invade (maybe just reload area) and boss item is available again for purchase. I only respec once and everytime I bought the boss item, invaded, and came back, the item would be there again. So 2 yellow lightsabers and could buy another.

You need 860 (+50 for the scouring clump) scourings for everything if you do the Umbral ending(can't get Adyr stuff), 795 for radiant ending (can't get Elianne's stuff), and 785 for inferno ending (in which case you get neither Adyr's nor Elianne's stuff).
From my math , You get 96 from bosses(+8 for umbral ending). 102 from Stigmas(+2 if you do radiance or umbral endings). 25 for your first scarlet reaper kill (5 for each kill after first). Can buy up to 3 from Molhu. And up to 999 From the Shrine of the Putrid mother (3 Plucked eyeballs each).
So without buying or farming(or doing umbral or radiant endings), you only get 223 per new game cycle, or at least that's the number I came up with...feel free to correct my numbers.
