The Spurned Progeny's Burning Welcome

This might be the most difficult fight you'll go through, excluding the first Boss fight in the Defiled Sepulchre you were meant to lose. Spurned Progeny is a child giant with fire and lava oozing from inside of him and a long arm for a tongue. It will be intent on eating everything on its path. It can be theorized that it's the 'progeny' of the fallen giant that's found on top of Skyrest Bridge. When you start the fight, Spurned Progeny will hunched over and mainly swipe at you with its arms, stomping at you, or trying to crush you under its weight. Because of its size, you'll only have his feet to dish out attacks to by default, but whenever his body or his arms lower to attack you, you'll have the chance to swipe at them too. This is the easy part and you'll just have to keep moving and deal damage to him in between his attacks. Eventually, he'll start shooting fires from above and swiping at you with enflamed claws so watch out for those as well. Anything that can help against the Burn and Ignite Status Effects will be very helpful for this fight.

spurned progeny1 upper calrath locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guidespurned progeny2 upper calrath locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

At about sixty percent of health, he'll enter into phase two. At phase two, he'll start to release a massive flood of lava which will quickly cover the entire battlefield at ground level. When this happens, very quickly look for one of the staircases surrounding the battlefield and make your way up. As you do so, and while you're waiting for him to approach you, let loose some long-ranged attacks and Spells if you have them. When he approaches, you'll see that releasing the lava has made him leaner and he is now standing straight and even taller. Similar to before, he'll try to swipe and pound forward at you so dodge those and then hit his arms back. He'll also try and use his arm-for-a-tongue to grab you with a handful of lava, so dodge that and you can hit that too. Sometimes he'll hit the platform with a fiery fist that lets out a shockwave of fire, so be ready to do a well-time roll to dodge it. Try and make sure you know where the stairs are as he'll eventually throw lava balls from his tongue-arm that'll leave lava on the platform similar to what he did at ground level. When this happens, exit the platform through the stairs and follow along the circular path connecting the platforms, maybe throwing ranged attacks as you go, and head to the next platform for a repeat. Naturally, watch out for his own ranged attacks too, which leave little lava puddles in their wake.

Eventually, he'll start opening his mouth and raising his tongue-arm as it gathers energy for a pyro spirit ball. As this happens, quickly look for cover along the circular path. After he unleashes the spirit ball, he'll be hunched back again and all the lava at ground level would have disappeared, likely absorbed into the spirit ball as well. So head down and hack at his legs again until he finally goes down. Defeating the Spurned Progeny will reward you with a Giant Eyeball, a Spurned Progeny Flesh, a Vestige Seed, and eight Umbral Scourings. Soulflay the Stigma he leaves behind to witness possibly the Tortured Prisoner wanting to find a crying baby and bring it home. You'll get two more Umbral Scourings and the Remembrance of a Spurned Progeny for doing so.

Do As the Rich

You'll now be able to explore the wealthier side of Calrath, or what it's been turned into. There's an Umbral Flowerbed in front of the Stigma if you need one to plant a Vestige Seedling. You can hold off on doing so, as in a tunnel after the first platform to your left from the gate back to Lower Calrest, you'll find some stairs leading up to the Vestige of Doln. Activate and use it as necessary. Enter the gate to the right of the Vestige. Before exiting out of the next gate, turn around and bypass the bars with your Umbral Lamp to pick up the Map of Upper Calrath Mining District. Head back and move forward. Grab the Justiciar Armour Tinct on the ground to your left as you follow the path down. Keep watch for a short set of narrow stairs on your right leading to a small closed gate that's blocked off by a petrified body. You can actually bypass the obstacle with your Umbral Lamp and drop down to a corpse carrying the Scornful Effigy. Find your way back, using the Umbral Lamp as necessary, and then keep following the path, past a closed gate and some Seared Souls here and there. Eventually, you'll find three Minor Holy Salts on a dead corpse to the right of a path that's barred off. Behind it will be a Raw Mangler empowered by an Umbral Parasite, hiding behind the breakable objects. Move forward to find the Old Mournstead Large Sword on a corpse to your left as you emerge out of the doorway.

upper calrath1 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Turn left past the doorway and look to your left to find three Fire Wards on a little alley. A Proselyte will be patrolling these streets, along with a Corrupted Pilgrim empowered by an Umbral Parasite. As with before, be careful of the tight spacing. If you catch the attention of the minor Infernal Enchantress below you, you'll be bombarded by explosions like before so keep nimble here. When it's safe to, you can transition to Umbral to reveal a platform in front of the gap in the fence right across the doorway you came from. Get on it, look to the left, and head up the thorny path to cross the archway right above you. Drop down the other side and then Soulflay the Umbral Belly on a small balcony to get the Crushing Gaze. Head out the balcony and then Soulflay the target to bring out a closer platform you can jump to and head back. There's an Emergence Effigy right by the doorway if you want to transition back to Axiom.

Before you do, move a bit forward from the doorway and then look across to your right before the stairs going down. Soulflay the Umbral Belly above and then jump across to pick up the Pendant of Parting. You can head back to the Emergence Effigy now if you'd like, but ultimately follow the path down now to deal with the pesky enchantress, along with another Raw Mangler. If you die and get forcibly transitioned to Umbral, or choose to remain in Umbral here, you'll have to contend with a Bringer of Stillness here and possibly a Womb of Despair. There's another Emergence Effigy for you amidst the broken bricks. When you move forward to a section filled with spears and a catapult, Soulflay the item on a corpse on a gap in the wall because it's just another Ravenous Fascinator. To the right of the catapult is the Pledge to Adyr Gesture.

upper calrath2 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Follow the path down to an Umbral Belly you can Soulflay for a Saintly Quintessence. Look up to the large tree to find an item on a hanging corpse. Strike it down to pick up the Vessel Root. On the other side of the path you came down should be a hidden staircase. It will lead to some steel bars you can bypass with the Umbral Lamp, or if you're in Umbral, leading to a Banner Javelin of Protection. Head back down and progress forward up the stairs where a minor Ruiner will be patrolling. It might be best to lure down the larger battlefield rather than try to engage him on the staircase.

Head up the staircase to an area with more breakable objects. On the far corner to the right is a corpse carrying the Old Mournstead Sword. As you head up, look to the left to find three Regular Deralium Nuggets hiding in a tent. At the top of the path, drop down the gap into an Umbral Flowerbed. In the corner here, you can find a Lump Hammer. The gap here leads back down to the previous area. Open the door adjacent to the gap and get the Adyr's Authority Spell immediately ahead of you on an open book. Head down to the lower floor to deal with a Proselyte guarding a Stigma. Afterward, transition to Umbral and Soulflay the Stigma to witness someone giving a toast to the nobles of Calrath. You'll get the usual two Umbral Scourings for doing so. Behind the Stigma is the Chipped Rune Tablet in the fireplace.

What Goes Up...

Head out past the white curtain to the left of the fireplace to find an Emergence Effigy, and past it a spiral staircase going up and down. Head up one floor to find the Overseer Trousers, Overseer Garb, Overseer Mask, and Overseer Gloves, all in a chest. Head back and take the stairs down this time. Soulflay the Ravenous Fascinator flaunting another item orb here for a Charmed Paw and a Vestige Moth. If you do fall for it, there will be a Womb of Despair waiting for you. Thankfully, there's also an Emergence Effigy waiting for you out the doorways.

upper calrath3 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Find your way to the stack of breakable boxes. Break them to find four Small Deralium Fragments hiding under them. There should be a wooden beam you can drop onto ahead of you so carefully do so. Transition to Umbral and jump on the platform at the end of this narrow path to get to a secret room. Soulflay the Umbral Belly here to get the Umbral Tome. From there, head all the way down the stairs, careful of the Corrupted Penitent waiting to ambush you from behind a thin wooden plank. Pull the lever before the gate to raise it. Immediately after the gate is the Map of Sunless Skein on an open book. Follow the tunnels until the path forks. The path to the left leads to a door that you'll need the Sunless Skein Key to open. Turn right instead to find and activate the Vestige of Hooded Antuli on some raised ground and enter the Sunless Skein.

Revisiting Upper Calrath

If you've given the Giant Eyeball to the Tortured Prisoner at the top of Skyrest Bridge, you can find her kneeling down on the battlefield where you fought the Spurned Progeny. If you speak to her you'll get a glimpse of her compassion towards the Rhogar giant you slayed. If you peruse her wares here, you'll see that they've expanded to include the Seismic Slam SpellRhogar's Delight, and the Puissance Root.

tortured prisoner upper calrath locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

If you've picked it up from the marketplace in Upper Calrath B, equip the Noblewoman Set and then speak to the Tortured Prisoner. When you rest afterward, she'll relocate near the beacon in Upper Calrath B.

If you've followed Exacter Dunmire's Questline until the end, which entails submitting specific Quest Items to him and then talking to him in various Locations and then finally in Mother's Lull, you'll find the Exacter Sleeves, Exacter Robes, Exacter Hat, Exacter Skirt, and Exacter Dunmire's Cane in the narrow tunnels that lead to the Sunless Skein.

If you've triggered the endgame by the time you take the bell elevator up from the Cistern for the first time and try to go out the doors near the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian, you might find it blocked by an Umbral Entity. If so, you'll have to see if the double doors atop Skyrest Bridge, on the far opposite side of where you fought Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal, are open. Use it to proceed to Upper Calrath B instead.

Started from the Bottom

After going up the caged lift at the end of the Cistern in the Sunless Skein, past the Skinstealer, you'll immediately find the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian. Note that if you've reached this point without talking to Byron about Winterberry, or without finding her at all, the next time you go here you'll find Byron here near the Vestige. He'll have killed Winterberry as the monster responsible for stealing Catrin's Pendant. This locks you out of ever meeting Winterberry in Revelation Depths if you haven't already; if you go there now to find her you'll only see her bloodied backpack. If you did find her previously, you'll have the option to tell Byron that it wasn't a monster that he killed, or stay silent. If you choose to tell him, he'll disappear the next time you visit but you'll find his belongings at the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers.

Open the double doors to find yourself back in another section of Upper Calrath. On your left, you can find the Map of Upper Calrath amidst some petrified bodies. Transition to Umbral here to find an Umbral Belly. Soulflay it to pick up the Blacksmith's Pride. The path across from where you emerged leads to Bramis Castle. For now, follow the path to the right, you'll come across a minor Infernal Enchantress who unfortunately has the high ground. Some Seared Souls will come out of the ground to help her out. If you're still in Umbral, you'll find a ladder underneath her. Head up to deal with her promptly and find three Fire Wards on a corpse in the corner of this platform. Turn around, jump on the shed, and hop onto the concrete hand to get Queen Verena II's Ring.

If you drop back down and follow the path to the end, you'll find the way forward blocked off by an Umbral Tumor. Back on the platform where the Infernal Enchantress was, look around above you to find the target you need to Soulflay in order to get rid of the tumor. Hop back down and bypass the gate in Umbral. Following the path, you'll eventually find an Emergence Effigy on your left if you need to transition back to Axiom. Pick up the Oathbreaker Armour Tinct on the corpse as you head through the short tunnel.

upper calrathb1 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

As you enter the open area filled with petrified bodies ahead, a minor Ruiner will order some Rhogar Hounds after you and follow them to deal with you as well. When you clear the area, you should be able to find an Ammunition Satchel along with two Manastone Clusters and three Bleed Salts on the left part of the area near the walls. On the other side should be three Fire Wards hiding behind some breakable wooden barricades, and some locked doors that you can't open from this side for now.

When you're done, head out the doorway that the Ruiner was guarding, basked in a dim red hue. Head up the spiral stairs. When the staircase ends you'll find a Stigma you can Soulflay. Transition to Umbral and do so to witness a lady in chains getting dragged forward by what we might be able to assume as Hallowed Sentinels. This seems to be the same lady who was giving a toast that you witnessed with a previous Stigma in the other section of Upper Calrath. You'll get the usual two Umbral Scourings for this Stigma.

upper calrathb2 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Drop down and pick up the Rhogar Oil Flask from the ground. The path splits from here, but to the left, you should find an Emergence Effigy you can use to transition back to Axiom. Before you do so, however, look to the right to find another Stigma you can Soulflay a little above you. You'll hear nothing but sounds of fighting, but you'll get another two Umbral Scourings for witnessing it as well. Past it is an Umbral Flowerbed you can set up a Vestige Seedling on. It's recommended that you do so to be able to get back to where the path splits here later on. When you're ready, drop down the green tent and then open the doors ahead of you to open a shortcut back to the circular area where you fought a minor Ruiner.

Turn around and follow the path on the other side now. Behind the stairs are two Magic Wards you might miss. Immediately ahead of it is yet another Stigma you can Soulflay. This time you'll witness someone bargaining for his life with a Ruiner. You'll get another two Umbral Scourings for doing so. Now that you're in Umbral, head back the opposite way and Soulflay a target above you to the right of the shortcut you opened to pull out a platform. Head up the now-visible ladder to drop down to the platform, cross to the other side, and climb a shorter ladder. You'll find a chest on the terrace containing the Calrath Guardsman Helm, Calrath Guardsman Armour, Calrath Guardsman Gauntlets, and the Calrath Guardsman Trousers.

upper calrathb3 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Get back on the path and move forward. You'll find another Emergence Effigy on your right, before the Stigma you just Soulflayed, if you want to transition back to Axiom. Head through the doorway on your right and grab two Ignite Cures up a short stop on your left. Move forward into a narrower section which looks like it could've been some kind of marketplace. As you turn left you'll immediately find the Noblewoman Dress, Noblewoman Sleeves, Noblewoman Headwear, and Noblewoman Leggings on a charred corpse on the ground. There's a Raw Mangler to your left here and a Trapper ahead of you though so be careful picking it up. Another Raw Mangler is hiding near the walls to the right. Follow the path to a dead end here but transition to Umbral to find an Umbral Belly guarded by a Bringer of Stillness. Soulflay it to get a Cursed Dart.

The Beacon and the Key

There will only be one other path forward from here and you'll find a Stigma on it, as well as The Iron Wayfarer. A pesky minor Infernal Enchantress from the outside might disturb you as you try to interact with these two so you might have to move forward first and deal with them. Transition to Umbral and Soulflay the Stigma when the coast is clear. You'll witness The Iron Wayfarer himself seemingly fighting with and attacking civilians. Speak to him and he'll say he recalls it differently and deny being a monster. On the corner behind him, right before the marketplace's exit, is an Umbral Flowerbed you can use.

upper calrathb5 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Head on out to immediately find an Emergence Effigy. You'll find that minor Infernal Enchantress to the right if you haven't dealt with her already. Drop down the gap behind her to pick up two Vestige Moths. Drop down either side back to the marketplace and then head out again. Turn right again as you exit the marketplace, but transition to Umbral this time. Soulflay the target by the gap to close it and allow yourself to cross over to a target you can Soulflay to get rid of the vines. Follow the path down and then Soulflay the Stigma. This one will be of The Iron Wayfarer asking a shady character about Rhogar artefacts. You'll get the usual two Umbral Scourings for doing so.

Soulflay the Umbral Belly in the alley past the Stigma to pick up the Melted Dark Crusader Sword. Soulflay the two targets above the alley to move platforms to the left. Across the platforms are two Wither Salts on the ground. Head back up the stairs and step onto the platform to ultimately jump on the platforms you moved to acquire the Graveyard Fog Spell.

When you're ready, head back toward the marketplace, but follow the path straight ahead this time. You'll find two Large Deralium Shards hiding in the small broken barrel on your left. There'll be a group of Enemies shortly ahead of you trying to take a nap. Move forward and enter the open area to find a minor Skinstealer skulking about that you'll have to deal with. The small booth on the right is hiding some Unripe Berries and Briostone Trios under breakable objects. Past that will be a doorway with a trail of blood. Turn to your left first and look up at the tree. The hanging corpse is carrying the Moth Ring for you to pick up. Follow the trail of blood to find a Banner Javelin of Assault on a corpse, in front of a ladder going up. If you've rested at any point before coming here and talking to him in the abandoned marketplace area, The Iron Wayfarer relocates here beside a new Stigma. Soulflay it to see him handing something over to someone, and to get the usual two Umbral Scourings. If you talk to him, he'll reveal that what you witnessed was him giving the Rune of Adyr to Judge Cleric himself. The ladder will take you to an Umbral Flowerbed back in Skyrest Bridge. The end of the path will lead to some double doors that you couldn't open from the other side at the top of Skyrest Bridge, opposite the edge where you fight Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal.

upper calrathb4 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Teleport to the Vestige Seedling you planted where the path split with two Stigmas, or retrace your steps to get back there. Head on the path to the left this time. Be careful of the exploding Seared Souls as you head up the narrow stairs. At the top, you'll find a hall where another minor Infernal Enchantress is waiting. Past her is a room containing the second Radiant Beacon. Move forward and cleanse it. After the cutscene, you can find some Bleed Salts on a corpse right by one of the large bells.

If you've talked to Andreas of Ebb after he relocated near the Vestige in Skyrest Bridge, before defeating the Spurned Progeny, you should already have the Fief Key in your possession. Otherwise, if you head back there now he'll leave behind the key on his spot to the right of the Vestige. When you're ready, Fief Key in hand, teleport to the Vestige of Marco the Axe in the Abandoned Redcopse. Step forward to the large gate with a bell at the center that's frozen over and use the Fief Key to open it and enter the Fief of the Chill Curse.

Revisiting the Tortured Prisoner

After you've talked to her while wearing the Noblewoman Set which you picked up from the marketplace, the Tortured Prisoner will relocate near the beacon here in Upper Calrath B. Speak to her again there to get the Elegant Perfume.

After The Empyrean

After clearing The Empyrean, you'll need to come back to Upper Calrath B to ultimately get to Bramis Castle. To get to Bramis Castle, you'll have to return to Upper Calrath B. The entrance to Bramis Castle lies just ahead of the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian but you'll find the doors there blocked by an umbral entity. Instead, teleport to Skyrest Bridge and take the shortcut you found there back to  Upper Calrath B. As you backtrack, you'll inevitably head toward the street where you opened a shortcut door to the circular arena where you previously encountered a minor Ruiner leading a pack of Rhogar Hounds. You'll find Andreas of Ebb there if you've progressed his Questline. If you speak to him he'll offer to assist you, thereby keeping his word, depending on whether or not you returned Andreas of Ebb's Book of Lineage to him.

upper calrathb3 locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

If you take the shortcut back, you'll discover that this circular arena is actually an arena where you can try and fight The Lightreaper for a third time. Before you do, transition to Umbral on this street and climb up the two ladders that you'd already gone through before, to the right of the shortcut. At the end of the path, you'll find a new Soulflay target that will help you with the fight. When you're ready, head back down and enter the shortcut door into the circular arena.

Third Time's the Charm Against The Lightreaper

As with the previous iterations of this fight in the Defiled Sepulchre and Fitzroy's Gorge, he'll begin the fight riding his three-headed shadow, and he'll periodically hop on it from time to time during the fight. While he's riding on the Lightreaper's Shadow, just keep dodging its attacks. You'll have to time this well as the attacks are able to hit wide areas. When he comes down to fight you himself, you'll have your chance to deal some damage to him in between his attacks. If you've already tried and failed here once, requesting someone's aid will come a long way, as with most Bosses, so he can direct his aggression at someone else while you try and get some hits in. He'll be just as nimble as ever and you might need all the help you can get.

As an added layer of difficulty, if you skipped Soulflaying the target outside the shortcut door that was previously mentioned, you'll notice that he'll continually regain and health he loses. Transition to Umbral and you'll see that he's tethered to an Umbral Parasite somewhere under the greatest in the middle of the arena, but you're unable to access it while in the arena during the fight.

the lightreaper1 upper calrathb locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guidethe lightreaper2 upper calrathb locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

At sixty percent health, The Lightreaper will empower his body with Rhogar fire, leading to a slight red glow. He'll be more aggressive at this point and his attacks will have a wider area. At fifty percent health, he'll empower himself further by applying bursting flames onto his blades, resulting in even more aggression and an even wider range. As before, he still rests quicker than most Bosses after unleashing his onslaughts, so don't be greedy with stringing your combos together. When he calls for his Shadow again this time, he'll have it unleash its attacks on its own while he continues his onslaught from the ground. Nothing to do but keep being patient with your attacks and eventually defeat him. If you have a Fire Ward handy, now might be a great time to use it.

When you defeat him, keep your distance as he'll have himself implode to try and take you down with him. Surviving this finally rewards you with a Vestige Seed, twenty-five Umbral Scourings, Lightreaper Flesh, and The Light Reaper's Umbral Parasite. Soulflay the Stigma he leaves behind to witness more of his carnage against some sentinels. Doing so gives you two more Umbral Scourings, along with the Remembrance of the Lightreaper. There will be an Umbral Flowerbed nearby as well that you can use for a Vestige Seedling. Plant one and use it to rest if you need to, as you're not quite out of the woods yet.

True Colors

Exit through the archway to the right of the shortcut into the alleyway. There'll be an Emergence Effigy immediately to your right if you need it. As you move forward, you'll find Andreas of Ebb, waiting for the chance to strike you after you've exhausted yourself against The Lightreaper. This fight should be easier than the last at least, but it will still be a tad difficult. Andreas of Ebb is a nimble opponent, mainly using his proficiency with the sword. This means great fundamental slashing, thrusting, and parrying skills. If he's able to block or parry one of your attacks successfully, you can expect a critical stab right after that will eat up a chunk of your health.

andreas of ebb boss upper calrathb locations world information lords of the fallen wiki guide

Matching his personality, however, you'll notice his attacks can also build up the Poison Status Effect. He will also make use of smoke bombs from time to time to reposition himself. What makes this fight difficult, in tandem with his tricks and general fighting style, is the narrow alley that you have to fight in. Nevertheless, watch your surroundings, watch your ticking health, and get some patient hits in and he'll eventually go down.

Depending on whether or not you chose to return the Andreas of Ebb's Book of Lineage to him previously, he may drop the Andreas of Ebb's Sword, a Vestige SeedAndreas of Ebb's Book of Lineage, Andreas of Ebb's Ring, and Andreas of Ebb's Sleeves when he goes down for good. When you're ready, you can now continue backtracking toward the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian and turn right at the end of the path to progress toward Bramis Castle.

After Bramis Castle

After Bramis Castle, or more specifically, after finding and picking up the Charred Letter in Bramis Castle, you can bring the letter to her at her recent spot here near the Radiant Beacon. Afterward, she'll relocate near the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim in Bramis Castle.

Upper Calrath is an unfortunate area. It was really a mistake to give us access to it immediately following Lower Calrath, which itself is a pretty bad area. Wandering through the decimated city and disturbing the ashes of the dead as you wander through this monument to weakness and greed and fear, it should've been a whole somber experience, but in reality it's a fairly generic area with the same Adyr-based enemies you've been fighting for a long time.

      • Anonymous

the order here would've been much better if we went left from 2-stigma-path-split-vestige-seedling to cleanse the beacon first, THEN headed right from it to ultimately open up that wicked shortcut back to skyrest bridge to continue our journey. makes much more sense. thanks for all your help though, praise the lamp, i love lamp [T]/

Hmmm, odd that there is an eye door requiring a stigma, down in the grate toward the middle of the plaza. I may just be missing something simple (actually didn't even realize it was there, until fighting the lightreaper and getting the message "an umbral enemy is preventing you". The other eye door seems to unlock the cistern elevator no doubt - but haven't found anything on this one!

          • Missing item: In the area where we fight the skinstealer there is a belly on the wall near the gate that leads to a shortcut back towards Skyrest. We can soulflay it to get the Umbral Eye of the Bloody Pilgrim.

            • Anonymous

If you are blocked out of Upper Calrath B from the elevator out of the Cistern, that means you have triggered endgame. You must enter Upper Calrath B from some double doors atop Skyrest bridge. These will be located on the opposite side of the bridge where you fought Pieta as the first boss of the game. Go past the enemies fighing each other, up the stairs, and to your left. The double doors should be open, leading to Upper Calrath B.

If you're stuck in upper calrath B and can't find the entrance to Bramis, you need to clear the Empyrean.
Go to the bell door in pilgrims perch, go through manse of the hallowed brothers and the abbey of the sisters.

                • Anonymous

Missing item: After getting the Umbral Tome as you head back out there is a item hanging from a corpse you can knock down to get the Overseers Halberd.

                  • Anonymous

So I’ve reached the Tower of Manse place before I forgot to go over upper calrath from the Vestige in Sunless Skein (the one that requires the key). Im confused when am I suppose to explore that area and the Upper Calrath after taking the elevator from the Skinreaper. Dont wanna make any more mistakes like the Winterberry questline (which the guide previously missed unless you went to the actual page of the NPC). Thanks

One of best vigor + large deralium nugget farms in game: at the umbra flower bed/ vestige seed area after the minor Ruiner where the Lump Hammer is located. At 52 inferno, i can magma spike the Ruiner down from inside right at the flower bed. Takes about 15 seconds per run when you get good at it, 500+ vigor per run, or a touch over 2k per min, plus decent chances at large deralium nuggets and ruiner gear. I'm sure it works w other spells, but I find java spike owns the ruiner, he just stands and takes it.

In the room where you pull the lever to Sunless Skein gates, there’s a umbral belly to soul flay for 5 scourings

Missing item(s): from the platform that you need to soulflay to open after you grab the Crushing Gaze weapon you can run and jump down to a ledge below and find Faint Vigor Skull x2. Though this is best done after you clear the courtyard with the minor Infernal enchantress, because if you miss you will basically land on her head, also you will miss all the stuff between where you jump and where you land.

Missing Item. In the area with a Skinstealer, after talking to the Iron Wayfarer mutter about not being a monster, there's an umbral belly containing The Umbral Eye of the Bloody Pilgrim.

There is an umbral blockage at the entrance to Calrath they have conveniently forgotten to mention here. You have to clear it from the skyrest path

This walkthrough should be revisited it tells us to run to the elevator way before depth exploration which leaves us with broken questline of winterberry without clear warnings. very sad and disappointed.
