LOTF Magma Surge Notes & Tips

  • Hidden Lore: Some sects of Adyr-worshippers believe that the magma found beneath the world's surface is an example of Adyr's righteous rage made material, and that those Inferno sorcerers capable of manipulating it do so due to their god's favour. (Requires Inferno to unlock)
  • It seems that as long as you can target an enemy, the spell will work summoning an explosion under the enemy and creating a lava pool which keeps damaging enemies who stand on it and inflicts burn.

Needs 50% lower damage and 100% faster cast and detonation time to be viable and balanced in PvP but that would make it terrible in PvE. Sadge.

As said below, very good spell. Cast it on ranged mobs, less mobile mobs or bosses stuck in an animation. You can even aim it at your feet while locked off a target to also hit them if they appear to be more mobile, a good example is the shades in umbral that like to do that pounce attack. The pools of lava also stack after the initial burst damage from repeated casts.

        • Awesome spell, doesn't use too much mana and can be casted from behind walls as long as you can lock on the target. Decent damage as well considering that i could kill a Infernal Enchantress by casting two or three of those with the base pyro catalyst at +5 in Bramis Castle. Bonus : leaves a lava pool that lasts for a good while and which does decent chip damage.
