Abbess is an Enemy in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Abbess are the highest ranking sentinels who serve Judge Cleric herself, these women have withstood harrowing radiant trials to achieve enlightenment and communion with Orius. Abbess women wear rapturous masks and garbs to hide their withering skin, mirroring the Judge Cleric herself. Lords of the Fallen features a variety of enemies that come from three groups, the Umbral Natives, Rhogar Enemies, and Hallowed Sentinels, each one having its own set of moves, strengths, and weaknesses that pose a threat and a challenge to the lamp bearer. By defeating an enemy, players can acquire various drops such as items and vigor.

LotF Abbess Enemy Notes & Tips
- Deals Holy and Physical Damage. Can inflict Smite and Bleed
- Has deadly long range attacks, what player can counter with Latimer's Javelin.

Can someone please confirm that abbess on the balcony of abbey or the two others in front of the church can drop the staff ? I killed dozens of them, Got the whole set (including both masks) a hundred of runes but not a single staff … My discovery rate is 1,265. Thx.

The one that shoots the beam from the top of the stairs in the Abbey CAN drops the full set. Including both Mitres. Drops include:

I even got the "Weeping" mitre while farming the one that shoots a beam at you from a balcony. Fight your way past her position and activate a vestige seed just before entering the church/cathedral. Rest, turn back, and you can shoot her with a bow without her retaliating. Got all the set this way except for the staff.

Does anyone know what causes their health to start lower or damaged? I mildly remember reading something that caused that but cant seem to find what it is.
