Penitent is an Enemy in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Penitents are a group of non-hostile characters who have submitted their bodies and minds to penance, they can easily be killed and reward the player with some vigor and occasionally, some items. Lords of the Fallen features a variety of enemies that come from three groups, the Umbral Natives, Rhogar Enemies, and Hallowed Sentinels, each one having its own set of moves, strengths, and weaknesses that pose a threat and a challenge to the lamp bearer. By defeating an enemy, players can acquire various drops such as items and vigor.

AnonymousDoes anyone know what the drop rate for their armor set is? I've been farming for an hour now and still can't get the chest to drop. Got everything else but that

They've attacked me plenty of times but the funniest attack I've seen them do was in the Manse of Hallowed Brothers. I'm in a courtyard and get rushed by 2 Pureblades. The Penitent cautiously backs up and then runs off. Just as soon as I finished off the last Pureblade, the Penitent comes back and takes a running swing at the back of my head. I was so stunned by the sheer brazenness, especially after I just took out his "guardians".

They walk in front of you just to sit down and do a soft T-pose

You say non-hostile but they attacked me. Quite a few times.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the sheer amount of these enemies and the near complete lack of a threat they pose is why they don't seem to drop much except their armor set when you have randomized loot on
