- Hidden Lore: Abbesses are rarely seen without a chalice of sanctified blood in hand, ready to be used in the casting of whatever Radiant sorcery they deem fit, the vessels having become increasingly ornate over time. (Requires Radiance to unlock)

I got this item from the very first enemy I fought and just came to check if it is any good. Now I see I'm very lucky.

I got it without trying, off the Ursula boss. It must have been her, given that I got the bonfire of Rosamund and didn't even enter the abbey. I immediately sold the chalice, because why bother using it when the Exacter Scripture was just a couple of steps away and is better for my high RAD build?

Fully upgraded with Radiance at 78 this has 659 spell power while Exacter is at 696, a total of 37 points better. Personally, I still prefer this just because I like the design.

Guess Rhogar's Heart is the Infernal equivalent to this.
Both inferior to Queen catalyst and Exacters Tome.

Confirmed drop, just awful drop rate. Best place to farm is just after The Empyrean vestige having two on the steps up.
On 2 characters I get this every time I kill the main Abess Boss, even sometimes drops off regular Abess kills. On my other character.....I leveled from 56 to 75, have about 14 Abes headpieces and chest and legs. Always get a rune......day 4 still no Chalice. So I can tell...this isnt dark souls underneath.....they are doing lazy **** to give the illusion of randomness but all the while its broken as ****
