Putrefaction is one of the Umbral Spell available in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Putrefaction Putrefaction is an Umbral Spell that summons a mist which poisons enemies caught within it. This mist of poison harms enemies within its reach, inflicting poison status. To activate this spell, you require an Umbral Catalyst. Spells in Lords of the Fallen (LOTF) are special powers that allow the player to do a variety of game-changing actions such as boosting his damage, summoning creatures and entities, and even carpeting the field with magical explosions. Magic can be acquired from looting, by defeating enemies, and can be bought from Merchants.

Where to Find Putrefaction in Lords of the Fallen

Putrefaction can be found in the following Location:

• Forsaken Fen: After picking up the Angel of the Void Set from a chest, head back into the lake and up to the large bonfire. You can look into the huts in the area for a Small Deralium Fragment. You'll also notice an item on top of one of the huts in the area. While still in the Umbral, you have to enter the lake and circle up and around from the slope ahead and on the left to reach some wooden platforms leading to the roof of the hut. As you make your way there, you'll have to face numerous Remnants, Swamp Undead, and some Womb of Despair. At the top of the slope, a section of wooden platforms leading directly to the roof of the hut will be found on the right. Rather than hop onto them, head forward through the grassy area. The spike structure on the right can be entered through a doorway on the far side. Inside, you can pick up the Putrefaction Spell from the corner. See it on the LotF Forsaken Fen Map.
• Sunless Skein: After the mining Stigma, head out from the hole where you found the stigma. Heading straight, the path with split into two. Turn to your right and follow the path here that leads you to an area with a lot of enemies. You are in the right direction if the enemy pack has a Womb of Despair enemy among them. Take out all the enemies and get the x1 Putrefaction lying on the ground.

LOTF Putrefaction Notes & Tips

• Hidden Lore: The cause behind the sudden cataclysm which wiped out the Umbral-worshipping outcasts of Forsaken Fen was never determined by the citizens of Calrath, but whatever the truth, most considered it a self-inflicted and deserved doom brought about by profane practices. (Requires Inferno and Radiance to unlock)
