This bow and the Assassin's Bow appear to be the best bows in the game. The Bow of the Mutilated is already matching or surpassing the other bows I've acquired (such as Bow of the Convert) up to this point in the game (intended order, at Fief where you get this bow, not the shortcut to the Assassin's Bow) at 2 or 3 levels below the bows I was using. This is a really powerful bow.
Between this bow and Assassin's bow, they're both relatively the same in performance. Only true difference I guess you could say is this bow can be obtained earlier in your playthrough versus finding the Assassin's bow in the Tower of Penance. But if you want a bow that could serve better in NG+1 and up, that'd be the bow of the convert. Reason being is it's a status bow.
