poison synergises very poorly with bleed, as the additional damage hits are usually waisted on poison ticks which deal minimal damage.

The "path to the left" isn't really helpful. The path to take is directly behind you if you are facing the vestige.

Does this inflict the same amount of bleed as poison? So if your weapon does 150 poison (fungus encrusted pickaxe) would it also inflict 150 bleed?

This ring combined with the (Enhanced) Forsaken Grenade is amazing for shield builds. You simply throw the grenade in enemy faces and fight inside a huge cloud of poison which procs almost instantly a guarantees three separate bleed instances before it dissipates or your money back. It's even better when facing multiple enemies at once. Swinging your weapon is optional, all you have to do is block attacks and watch enemy health bars drop faster than the economy. Combine it with the Pendent of Burden for 14% extra damage and the Mineowner's Ring to keep your stamina up while blocking and you're basically unstoppable. It honestly made the game trivial for me, and all the necessary items to get started are available early

            • Based on my own extensive testing I can tell you it's not worth using this no matter the situation. First of all the bleed build-up is slower than your poison build-up which means that almost always before you manage to proc the bleed the enemy is already dead, secondly the way bleed works is that once it procs the next 5 or so attacks do extra damage which you can visually see with a blood burst, but the issue with this ring is that the poison ticks actually eat up these extra damage debuffs which makes this ring pretty much useless. The ring that builds ignite with burn build-up is better, but also not worth it since there are much better rings out there.

If you're patient, this coupled with forsaken grenades at a distance, is super powerful. Mobs don't Auto initiate from range, and the bleed effect kicks in more than once.

The bleed build up seems to be around 1/3 of your poison build up. I tested it with a Raw mangler (double axe rhogar) they have around 200 bleed resistance (tested via different bleed weapons 60 bleed proc on 4th hit,70 bleed proc on 3th hit). The hushed saint halberd has 150 poison. The bleed procced on my 4th hit.

Is the bleed buildup equal to the poison buildup? Does the bleed buildup continue when the target is already taking poison damage? Does the bleed proc with the Putrefaction spell?

From the Pale Butcher vestige, go across the shortcut wooden bridge then take the small ladder to your left, go straight toward some ruined walls and it'll be in a tiny hole covered by wooden planks
