Rescue the Hound is a Quest in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). The Rescue the Hound is a quest wherein a lost hound takes refuge in Skyrest Bridge after their master gets defeated. Players can complete various tasks such as Quests, which are the different missions or requests that players are given in the game. Quests can be acquired by progressing the game's story which triggers events or conditions, or by interacting with NPCs and accepting their requests.

HOW TO GET THE FORLORN HOUND IN LORDS OF THE FALLEN

The Forlorn Hound was once a loyal companion to the Mistress of Hounds, but after her defeat, this hound will move to a closer location. To defeat Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds, you need to approach her arena where she will be standing alone in the middle. Her move set is relatively simple, comprising a series of basic sword slashes when in melee range and a charged bow attack that has a sound cue when in range. The difficulty of this fight stems from the Hounds Gaverus will summon. You can opt to simply focus on Gaverus to conclude the boss fight, however, you may find yourself being overwhelmed quickly the more Hounds there are on the battlefield.

At the start of the fight, two Hounds will be present. Defeat them quickly, then move over to Gaverus to chip at her health. If she's in the middle of a ranged attack animation, she can be interrupted easily by simply hitting her. Her sword attacks you'll have to be a bit more careful of. At about two-thirds health, she'll call in a third Hound. Again, defeat the hound and then focus fire on Gaverus.

When defeated, Gaverus will drop an Ammunition Satchel, Vestige Seed, the Sin-Pierced Sleeves, and the Sin-Pierced Sword. Interact with the Umbral Flowerbed that emerges after the fight for a shortcut back here. As soon as you return to the Skyrest Bridge, you will find the Forlorn Hound resting in one of the alcoves in front of the Shrine of Orius. You can't interact with the hound yet and we're expecting that there's a story progression required before doing so.
