I'm not sure if it works the same as in other souls-like games. Traditionally, status affect scale with a stat, for example in Elden Ring frostbite scaled with intellect as did magic damage, where fire and holy scaled with faith...if that insight holds true, the burn damage scales with inferno, and possibly the purpose of the INF runes, someone else test it it, I'm just gonna keep running around like an idiot in the mean time, there's always Lord's Bite.

Does inferno damage but doesn’t scale with inferno, I understand you wanted the golden buckets to be the best fists but why make everything else suck ass, this game has so many cool weapons and like 5 of them are actually good and everything else isn't worth using because it’s completely outclassed for one reason or another, so you get to use the same 5 weapons or purposely run an even worse version of whatever build because you want to look cool, after 200 hours this just gets so boring.

It doesn't make any sense that this weapon is pure physical damage yet only gets access to inferno rune slots. There are not star shaped runes that do anything to help with weapon, so why are all slots given this shape? Don't upgrade this as it falls off in the long run seemingly.
