Lords of the Fallen Saint Latimer's Relic Spear Notes & Tips

  • Hidden Lore: Latimer strove for justice not only for his fellow Hallowed Sentinels but also for the citizens of Mournstead, who in turn admired him. The final bargain he made for the sake of those people was accepted by the Cleric and honoured, albeit only for a time. Following his canonisation as a Hallowed Sentinel saint, some of the items the deceased Latimer left behind would become cherished relics. (Requires Radiance to unlock)

    • That spear is probably the nicest weapon if you want a "fair and balanced" playthrough. It's not the strongest weapon by any mean, but it's good enough to be enjoyable. Consider even using it for fashion, the long blade coming from a slight coil from the vines makes it look simple yet beautiful, and kinda adds some visual satisfaction when you use its special attacks. Idk, it's weird to explain but believe me it's a nice early weapon to use through the game without having to think much about your damage ratio, it just kills things without trouble.

This is one of several weapons that I don't really understand: Str/Rad will be wanting to buff Holy damage, or Smite/Bleed status effects. This feels like it should have additional scaling with Inf and unambiguously count as an Umbral weapon.

Second play i use this for my Mournestead infantry dude along with radiant shield for style reasons. Its not the strongest wep but a fun one

When paired with a short sword the Latimer's shreds enemies. When attacking with a paired weapon you instantly pop that wither damage.
I've been using it as my primary paired with Hallowed Praise and it's been surprisingly effective.

Don't forget that Wither damage scales with Radiance as well.

you guys are forgetting about the wither damage.. basically if the weapon hits 100 on your screen the monster loses 200 health because it does wither damage for 100 which shows white but it simultaneously does regular damage so it breaks the white damage too. try pairing it with a shortsword or something else

I just got this and upgraded it. It does like half of what my old crappy bell stuff did and that was not even upgraded once. (i have the stats requiered)
                It just deals horrible damage...

I’ve dual wielding pitta’s and this and buffing with fire or radiance and man, I know the combo seems weird but the attack are SOOO much faster than dual wielding a longsword and the wither damage on the spear and the doubles (radiance stacks on pitta’s ) on radiance are absolutely insane with the spirally move set it’s awesome especially when you get surrounded.
