Ruiner Axe is a Grand Axe in Lords of the Fallen (LotF)Ruiner Axe deals balanced physical and fire damage, while inflicts Ignite effect on enemies. Grand Axes are Melee Weapons that require players to get up close and personal with Enemies, Bosses, or other players during PVP, to inflict damage. They may require certain stats in order to be wielded properly and can be found as loot, rewards, or crafting.

Where to Find Ruiner Axe in Lords of the Fallen

Ruiner Axe can be obtained from:

  • Fitzroy's Gorge: Drops as a reward upon defeating the Ruiner boss. This boss can be found just outside the cavern where you found Drustan. The boss is easy to find, as you will encounter it when progressing in this level.
  • This item can drop from the Ruiner enemy.
  • Can be purchased from Thehk-Ihir after finding and speaking to him next to the Vestige of Dieter at the Path of Devotion. Finding and speaking to him expands the merchant's inventory which adds this item to the shop.

      The axe is not the best stat wise from what I’ve seen though it looks awesome. I got the Ruined Axe up to +5 and honestly I found it underwhelming. It doesn’t do as much raw damage as the Angel’s Axe at +5 but it’s comparatively light and takes less stamina per swing. Honestly I’d say take this axe if you’re looking for something for killing mobs with ignite or want a grand axe that’s fast and can be swung repeatedly.

      • This axe is a big disappointment compared to the Lord's Axe, here's why :

        (1) at 40 Str and 75 Inf (the hardcap) this axe has 177 + 90 physical / 177 + 147 fire (B- scaling in both), the Lord Axe gets 202 + 41 physical / 169 + 293 fire (D scaling in Str, A scaling in Inf). 592 attack rating on a very split damage against a wooping 705 with split damage more min maxed toward fire.

        (2) The slots : speaking of min-maxing, this axe has a round slot (for various physical effects) and only one star slot (inferno effects), Lord's Axe gets 2 star slots in which you can put Berlam runes to push the fire damage even further.

        (3) Stats requirement : less important if you are going for a Str/Inf build anyway but still notable : Ruiner's Axe needs 20/20 in both stats where Lord's Axe only needs 12 in Str and 18 in Inf. Way more accessible for any Inferno builds.

        I would say that Ruiner's Axe has a better look and has 150 in Ignite effect unlike Lord's which has nothing, but the ignite effect is debatable regarding its effectiveness (good for crowd control but very low damage in later areas imo, but that's another subject to discuss)

        Not a "bad" weapon but largely outclassed by the Lord's Axe which is even a starting weapon for the Lord class. That's my whole opinion on it but i'd be very interested if someone knows a way to make it as good as the Lord's Axe.

          Question when it comes to this and the Rhogar's Reach: What kind of stat-spread between Strength and Inferno is ideal? I was thinking of something like 40-50 Str/22 Inf for a Str/Inf build but aside from the buffs being decent to use I'm not sure how well that'll work.
