It represents Melchior's desperate plan to protect his brother in Mournstead, leading to a journey fraught with danger and sacrifice. Rings in Lords of the Fallen (LOTF) are special equipment that adds buffs and special effects to the player's character. Rings can be acquired from looting, by defeating Enemies, and can be bought from Merchants.

A ring bearing an image of a boar's head. Deal additional physical damage.

Melchior knew that his desperate plan for him and Drustan to travel to Mournstead would put his brother in danger, but justified it to himself as necessary since Drustan had no one else to care for him anyway. This lessened the shame Melchior felt, for a time.
