New to Lord's of the Fallen. Maybe had less than half dozen spikey head dudes die to falls (wasn't even nothing trying to kill them).
Going for paladin build, but did not have a catalyst yet. Started with Hallowed knight. Took awhile but realized I could buy a rad catalyst from hat guy in hub area. Grind some vigor.
Buy one from him, go to equip a catalyst... Already have this one...
I thought it was another dumb twig/stick weapon the early mobs are always dropping.
      Guess I'll use this

Took me less than 50 tries @ Bellroom, with Bountiful Ring and shield with 1 Nhelaq rune. Didn't even need Lucky Paw.

this is a best choice for hybrid builds for example 30radiance + 30 inferno + ring which let you cast inferno spell with another catalysts.
          This is very-very good catalyst.
Ofc. if you have 80 radiance than scales are mutch more important. But for hybrids, this one is THE BEST !

why is this better than the preacher catalyst? does it gain better scaling when levelled? it starts out worse in terms of scaling, but has a higher requirement to wield.

I just realised I had one of these, but I can't see an obvious reason as to why I'd use this one instead.

This things drop rate is abysmal. Farming for 2+ hours in Pilgrim's Perch popping rabbits feet and using item discovery runes with no luck.

                20 radiance,
                +5 agonys light: 243 + 28 spellpower
                +5 Orian preachers catalyst: 170 + 37 Spellpower
                Early game no-brainer, especially hybrids.

This catalyst is extremely potent early game, you'd think that the high base power but worse scaling will fall off soon but even with 40 Radiance it beats out Wilmarcs by a solid amount, (having both on +5) still have to check the catalysts you get later in the game but this is by far the best choice for a long while for full radiance builds and a no brainer for anyone that wants to go for something hybrid.
