You can lure both of the Bringers at Skyrest towards the stairs where Dunmire stands. They won’t attack once on that stairwell and become stationary once you’re about halfway up the stairs. I spammed Putrid bile on them and they do get poisoned making it a little easier to farm.

If you want these, you really shouldn't go out of your way to go all that far into the game to farm them.

You encounter two enemies with these that respawn upon rest or death under Skyrest. There is a metal grate behind Dunmire, and all you do is run through that, past the two trash zombie enemies and down stairs. You will need to stay into Umbral mode obviously (as they are umbral enemies), but once you get to the weird totem thing that would bring you back to the other realm, instead turn to the left. You should see an umbral bone bridge. hop off onto that and right before you make it to the platform in the middle, immediately turn around and run back the way you came.

This does a couple things. One, it allows you to take on one of them and gives you a bit of time before the other one comes. The second thing is that there is a chance that the second one won't even cross the bridge. You basically get to fight both of them on your terms. These do drop, although I will say the right hand version drops with far more regularity than the left, at least in my experience.

But this is an easy farm. You should have no problem getting these with a solid farming session. I currently mainhand both left hand variants for my character and they are solid weapons...even if, with me being honest here, they are probably the fugliest swords in this game haha.

Wow just had this drop randomly while searching the Sunless Skein. Went to look at its description and found out that I had apparrently picked up the right one when I wasn't looking. Wonder if anything happens if I equip them in my left and right hands...

I have farmed 150 reapers over the last three hours. I have:

            4 - Robes
            3 - Hoods
            9 - Tier 2 upgrade nuggets
            and
ZERO SWORDS (left or right handed)

Got a lucky drop from the 2 reapers in Skyrest (on the way to get the Faithful Bludgeon) at the beginning of the game. This thing is amazing and most enemies in the swamp get frostbite proc after 3 hits

Ixon, str rune, 10% increase in physical damage + 2 agi Dimexius ( 20% increase each when dual wielding ) 10% + 40% = 50% physical damage increase when dual wielding per sword, dual wield the sword and put the same rune combo for a 100% increase in physcal damage + 160 total frostbite application per hit dual swings

get grayson ring that increases all damage by 10% when dual wielding

get princess sting talisman and use no armor, 25% increase in all dmg

get yorke's ring that increase frostbite damage

get the bloody pilgrim umbral eye that turns all your light attack damage into wither but increases it ( also give you a holy aura glow )

you will proc frostbite on most mobs in every 2 hits of your swords and that will work wonders with the uber wither damage you will be doing on light attacks.

                Enjoy

You guys using paws? Popped a charmed paw and on my first attempt against the two at Skyrest I copped a left hand sword, a hood, a robe, and a moth.

You get a free one of these for defeating the Bringer of Stillness boss fight found in Umbral just underneath the Skinstealer boss. Weird location aside, it's a very worth-while weapon to invest in as a pure Agility build thanks to it's high scaling, lower than average weight, free frostbite build up allowing for potential status builds, and the one strength rune slot allowing ranged agility builds to slot in Aelstrix which ups the damage of ranged/throwable weapons.

It might be rough trying to farm a second one of these from the other Bringer of Stillness enemies you fight throughout the game, but if you manage you're well awarded with a potentially reliable duel-wielding set-up that can proc frostbite and eat away at enemy posture quickly.

Drop rate for the swords are horrible. Went through 20 lucky paws, zero swords dropped. All stupid hoods and wither salts

so I was farming these and before i dropped ONE this is what i've got:
11x stillness hood, 6x stillness robee, 2x right-hand sword, bunch of different moths and wither salts... took me like 3 hours at least + using rabbit paws

I farmed the two under Skyrest for a couple of hours and only got the right handed sword to drop. After exiting to the menu and farming them again only the left handed sword dropped so it might be that they're loot locked per session.

I can confirm both left and right hand weapons drop from the Bringers of Stillness beneath Skyrest Bridge. Both can be dual-wielded individually (left-left, right-right) or together.

                            • Based on first impressions, the left hand sword seems simply superior compared to the right hand because frostbite seems way better than wither + maybe split damage?
