Putrid Child Sword is a Short Sword in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Putrid Child Sword deals balanced physical and wither damage. Short Swords are Melee Weapons that require players to get up close and personal with Enemies, Bosses, or other players during PVP, to inflict damage. They may require certain stats in order to be wielded properly and can be found as loot, rewards, or crafting.
A sword bestowed upon a most dutiful servant of the Putrid Mother.
Where to Find Putrid Child Sword in Lords of the Fallen
Putrid Child Sword can be obtained from:
- Fief of the Chill Curse: From the Umbral Flowerbed in the ruins, head down the path until you reach what looks like castle ruins. Head to the left of the blocked gate to get across, then continue down the path. Make sure to Warp to the Umbral to get through. Towards the right there is a narrow walkway that leads to to a small town. On the statue is an Umbral Belly, Soulflay it and pick up x1 Putrid Child Sword.

Not bad as a starting weapon as it has frost and synergizes with eye mine pendant. Other than that, quite lame. Fashion is strong within this one, tho

This weapon deals at +9 less damage than Pieta's sword at +9 with 50 radiant and inferno and umbral weapon casted on both. You'd think the weapon that scales with both Radiant and Inferno would be better for an Umbral build than the weapon that scales purely with Radiant but evidently not

This sword is a contender for the best weapon to go for the Lords of the Fashion guys out there, but it should be buffed imo, gets outclasses by many other weapond

I don't know if this sword is op, mid or bad, but I like it alot.

Located in fief of the chill curse. You can acquire the fief key from andreas of ebb after killing the congregator of flesh in the forsaken fen. If you speedrun to the sword you can have it early game, however you'll have to kill the first boss in the fief of the chill curse

For anyone curious, I've found that for the 1st rune slot, Halsan(Increase phys damage, reduce str scaling), Ruq(Increases posture damage), Scaeve(Poise damage up), and Xiax(Reduce weight) work best.

I wish the first rune slot on this was triangle because the circles don’t work with it at all, also this thing tears things apart when you dual wield them with umbral weapon makes soul flay a usually mechanic

Can still be gotten in NG, albeit quite late into the game (requires Fief key from Andreas of Ebb)

I’m working on an Umbral dual wield build for NG+ with Melted Crusader and Putrid Child swords.
Farmed x3 Mhakev runes for DCS, and x1 for PCS along with a Dhalwe. Which strength rune is everyone running on PCS? Currently have an Ixon inserted
