Umbral-Tinged Flayed Skin can be used by players to:
- Unlocks a door in the Umbral Realm near the Vestige of Ranik in Defiled Sepulchre. From the area where the Holy Bulwark Otto & The Lightreaper are first encountered, take your first right past the battlefield, follow the path and the door should be at the end of it in the Umbral Realm.

A tad bit confusing regarding the location unless you click the Flayed skin link to see where one finds that.

..or something to that extent would be much more helpful. The more detailed the information, the better.

This info is wrong. You do not find the door in the same place as the umbral tinged flayed skin. You find the door in defiled sepulcher, which is right by redcopse, where you start the game. Hope this helps.
