This rune adds a +20 base poison build up to any weapon. Poison salts add a +40 poison build up and poison weapon grants a +60 poison build up. I tested it on an enemy at the bottom of revelation depths at the vestige near the area boss, the enemies here are protected by by that soul thing so it made it a lot easier. I used kukajins sword (60 base poison build up) using poison salt and poison weapon both with and without the poison rune. I also used bloodlust (0 poison build up) withe rune + poison salt/weapon to test this.

So i run a test with 1 of the enemies next the vestige at the bottom of revelation depth near the area boss since the enemies are protected by the soul thingy. I used kukajins sword with a base poison build up of 60 with no runes. Then i tried with poison salts (consumable) and after that i tried with poison weapon all against the enemy. I put 1 of these runes on kukajins sword then tested all the above methods again. After this i tried blood lust with no base poison build with only the poison rune, then added the salts and poison weapon spell just as i did with kukajins sword.
These are the results to proc poison:
Kukajins sword base = 4 hits (indicating 240 poison requirement)
Kukajins sword + poison salts = 3 hits
Kukajins sword + poison weapon = 2 hits
Kukajins sword with poison rune = 3 hits
Kukajins sword + poison rune + poison salts = 2 hits (same as poison weapon)
Bloodlust (with no base poison build up) + Atarux =14 hits
        Bloodlust + atarux + poison salts = 4 hits
Bloodlust + atarux poison weapon = 3 hits
So my conclusion is that the Atarun rune adds a flat 20 poison build up to any weapon its socketed to, poison salts add a flat 40 poison build up and the poison weapon adds a flat +60 poison build up. Poison salts and poison weapon dont stack, the strongest one takes presidence here. It says the poison weapon scales with the catalyst spell power tho i do think this only affects the damage increase and not the added poison build up though im not entirely sure. Im using bloodlust and kukajins sword myself was eagar to know. Based on this i will be outfitting both my weapons agility slots with this rune to give a 120 base poison build up (increased by 2/3 with poison salt or doubled with poison weapon) for a 180-240 poison build up per hit. This would also mean i could ditch the poison weapon spell and just use infernal weapon to get the added burn build up instead of switching between em and i wont need the charred ring anymore so i can use something else.

            • Shuja mobs in the Fen will drop this. Since they are in Axiom, you can do a soulflay finisher on them to guarantee a rune drop. Fully wither their HP in soulflay, and execute when they have the red dot on them as usual.

Drops from the Shuja Warriors and Casters in the swamp. Boost your itemfind with a Ring and Paws since their droprate seems quite low without any boosts.
