For PS users. I have gotten 4 of this and its my first playthrough (NOT NG+). Here's how:

Go to one of the locations of the beast. Clear the area from the enemies then quit the game from the menu.

upload your file to your cloud (PS plus).

Now you can farm and keep downloading you save file if it didn't work.

These just don't exist anymore. Got 4 on my first character and despite have 5+ item discovery now not ONE has dropped and I killed every one in the game. I can't be THAT unlucky... right?

where can i farm Nhelaq rune?

The drop rate is extremely low, I've maybe killed them about 10 times and have only got one. I backed up my save just incase, but if you close the game on console as soon as you don't get the drop, you can try it again. Sometimes it moves location when you reload the save, but they're still reappearing for me.

you can do the had save then delete save data from console (idk how it'd work on pc im a console nerd) glitch that you use to dupe stuff in dark sould and elden ring if you hard save before you soulflay the mimic to keep trying if you dont get it first try

I got a lucky drop of the first mimic i killed but this rune doesn't drop anymore from any other i kill. Go umbral with the eye that boosts item discovery by 30%, using a charmed paw and a lucky paw and the rune in my shield. So far, only 2 mimics left in the game and i can't get even a second one.

So for those who are looking for a umm... Challenge? Here goes:
I have 3 of these in my left-hand Jeffrey's dagger +10 and 2 of these in my right-hand Veil-piercer +7.
As a result i do have an exp multiplier of x6 (i'm also using the ring), but! It also became literally impossible to kill an enemy with the weapons without using a weapon buff or a salt. I now do 100% wither damage xD Perma peace mode ..\/,
Both the dagger and the spear are supposed to apply frost status effect - so i don't know, maybe the miners i am at right now are immune to frost, but they laugh at me swinging both dual-wielding and two-handing the spear.

These do not appear to drop anymore, and I don't know why. Probably a ****-up on the developers' part that hasn't been reported. I've killed nigh every mimic in the game with 4.95 item discovery (from ring, umbral eye, and consumable bonuses) and charmed paws don't even drop consistently. Also, it seems like lucky paws were added to the drop pool at some point.

Report this issue to the developers.

Charmed Paw +2 means it gives you +2 discovery... dont use 2 charmed paws like I did >.>

Does it stack if I put it in an off hand weapon and the weapon I'm using two handed?

What weapon/shield can this be slotted on?

Pretty sure it's a flat drop and applies to all weapons. Bare fists will actually show the increase and decrease unlike other weapons. With two of these in an offhand dagger, two hand bare handed caused them to deal 0 damage. 20str 35dex.

Yeah, good idea to make random loot on mob which doesn't respawn. I looted all mimic in my playthrough and don't have this rune
