Effect Weapon function: Gain mana upon killing an enemy. |
Nartun is one of the Runes available in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Nartun is a rune that grants mana upon killing an enemy for weapons and offers a small amount of mana regeneration for shields. It reflects the Church of Orian Radiance's avoidance of studying the exact nature of mana.
The exact nature of mana is very rarely studied by the Church of Orian Radiance, for the idea that impious magic such as the infernal sorceries of the Rhogar might share some fundamental connection with the blessed gift of Radiance is heretical indeed.
Where to Find Nartun in Lords of the Fallen
Nartun can be found in the following Location:
- Sunless Skein: In the previous area before the Vestige of Catrin, there is an umbral belly before facing the Remnants and Mendacious Visage. Soulflay that umbral belly to acquire a Nartun, alongside an Enervated Vigor Skull.
- See it on the LotF map
- See it on the Sunless Skein map
Nartun effect in Lords of the Fallen
Nartun can be socketed into Weapons and Shields. It can only be inserted into Radiance or Meta rune slots.
Nartun's effect vary according to where it is socketed in:
- Weapon function: Gain mana upon killing an enemy.
- Shield function: Grant small amount of mana regeneration.
Lords of the Fallen Nartun Notes & Tips
- Hidden Lore: "The exact nature of mana is very rarely studied by the Church of Orian Radiance, for the idea that impious magic such as the infernal sorceries of the Rhogar might share some fundamental connection with the blessed gift of Radiance is heretical indeed."
- Stacks with other forms of mana regeneration, such as itself, and the Manastone Ring.
- Note: Mana can only be regained if the killing blow to an enemy is dealt with the weapon this rune is slotted into. It will not activate when exclusively using ranged weapons, throwables or spells to kill enemies.
- It's also important to note that if your weapon applies status damage (smite, bleed, poison & frostbite) and the enemy dies from an inflicted status, the mana gaining effect will not activate - the enemy must be killed with direct weapon damage.
- The passive mana regeneration (when slotted into a shield) will activate if the shield is equipped, regardless of whether or not you meet the stat requirement to effectively use the shield. This effect also activates when two-handing your weapon.

Tested. you do NOT need to get the killing blow with the weapon it is slotted onto, you only have to have the runed weapon equipped. spells and throwables/ranged weapons still return 3 mana for killing an enemy.

Yeah I have 3 of these and only just restarted to +0 on my toon, so these must drop from something after soul flay.

Is it available only 1 per game? I cannot farm it from enemies?

even just one of these on your shield is crazy good for level clearing, really good for saving up those manastones for bosses.

If this is socketed in a weapon and you kill with a spell do you still get mana back?

If this is in a weapon do you get mana back if you kill with a spell?

Just one of these on a shield is enough to keep a weapon imbue up indefinitely. By the time it wears off you'll have recovered the mana spent plus some

3 of these in a shield + the mana regen ring is EXACTLY enough regen to keep Aura of Tenacity and Invigorating Aura online permanently.
