Effect

Weapon function: Increase elemental damage.

Shield function: Increase elemental defence.

Shon is one of the Runes available in Lords of the Fallen (LotF). Shon is a rune that increases elemental damage for weapons and increases elemental defense for shields. It has hidden lore related to the magical-enhancing properties of snow-capped mountain peaks in Yisugen.

Several of the snow-capped mountain peaks of Yisugen are popular destinations among the land's sorcerers, who believe that the rare springs found there possess magic-enhancing properties.

Where to Find Shon in Lords of the Fallen

Shon can be found in the following Location:

  • Pilgrim's Perch: From the Vestige of Blind Agatha, head through the metal doors with the bell and go down the path past the wooden beams. Warp into the Umbral to reveal the path to the other side. Get across and continue the path until you reach outside. Head to the path on the left and enter the next opening. Climb up the ladder and follow the path until you reach the area where you fight The Sacred Resonance of Tenacity. Defeat him if you haven't then head out and continue on the right. Cross the bridge then go up the ladder. Continue on the wooden path up the first set of stairs, after that hop off the platform to find an Umbral Belly. Soulflay the belly and pick up Shon.

I'm 3/4 way through the game and I don't have a single weapon that has more than one elemental damage. anyone care to list which weapons do?

Only increases damage for the weapon it is slotted on. Will not increase damage if you have it slotted on your secondary and have your main 2handed. Prolly a bug as all others runes work regardless if actually out, or on your side/back.

I think it applies to any damage that is non physical, the BEST use of this you can get is when you use it on Judge Cleric Corrupted sword, that has all damage types and scales massively on all of them, I saw a bigger increase using this, than using any scaling runes .

Anyone know if this increases your resistance to elemental damage when equipped in a shield, or the shield's ability absorb elemental damage?

Does anyone even know what this does? I tested it using inferno spells and fire weapons and it does absolutely nothing for either. Wish the game was more clear with this stuff. "Elemental damage" would lead one to believe it boosts all fire/radiance/umbral damage, but this does not seem to be the case.

After the Sacred Resonance of Tenacity Boss Fight, leave the cave, take the first ladder up, walk up one flight of stairs and then drop down on the roof on the other side, the treasure is on that roof in umbral.
