Think they patched the VPN method. I farmed this set and all the armor tincts, but not the other two, rip.

For the whole set you need a total of 1.600 severed hands.
If you use the charred finger and KILL the host... then you get per invasion 27 severed hands. (Minus 10 for buying those per Invasion)
1.600 / 17 = ~ 94 Invasions
1.600 / 27 = ~ 59 Invasions
94 - 59 / 2 = 17,5 + 59 = 76 invasions
Simply said, you need around 76 sucessfully invasions, where you used the charred fingers, to buy the whole set.
I feel bad for those, who want to do the 100% completion or speedrun... Yikes.

It's really funny how you have to do so much pvp to get an armor set that would get you instantly mauled in pvp due to having such low holy defense

I have heard online that once purchased, it is given to every character, including new ones. I cannot confirm it myself, but it is probably true considering currencies are shared across characters.

Buy charred fingers. There is a good 3-5 second window after a GUARANTEED kill to use one, tripling the reward you get for winning. No reason to not, it changes it from 177 matches won to 59 matches won.

For some reason tincts affect neither the plume nor the white hair of thr helm. Something to consider before engaging in the grind.
